Contrary to above report quote: "Despite the meeting's importance to Phuket's future, not a single arm of the local Thai media sent a reporter to the gathering at Royal Phuket City Hotel":
NBT TV Phuket sent Thai reporters there and sent Thai language report to Bangkok for nationwide coverage, and interviewed Hon Consuls for broadcast later in local news. quote: "Thais are only ever told about the upside of tourism." Not true.
