Phuket FantaSea bounces back

PHUKET: Phuket FantaSea will be open six days a week from October 1. The “ultimate nighttime cultural theme park” attracted 3,000 to 6,000 visitors daily before last year’s tsunami, but opened only intermittently in the following months. In July it shut its doors two days a week in order to save costs.

Sirikul Amaramorn, FantaSea’s Public Relations Director, told the Gazette today that a significant drop in the number of tourists had forced FantaSea to reduce its opening hours, but, by doing so, it had managed to retain its 1,100 employees.

its like a theme park of thailand shops eateries music bars,then a cultural stage show.
the stage show is very good enjoyed it heaps.

And I have to say the food is real good
cost you 500 baht but it is a great buffet and leave some space for the chocolate desserts

I have been there 3 times with 3 different girls ... It's funny to play little games outside before or after the show (the girls like to win a little teddy bear) and the show is really great. I had big doubts before the first time I go there, but I really have not been disappointed

We thought the food was absolute crap, and way over priced. We have been telling people ever since not to buy the food addon package.

Agree with you Stevem, I had the buffet once and I do prefer to have a dinner in a restaurant before going there, better and far less expensive.
I don't like too much buffets with food cooked for hundreds people, it was not so bad but what better than a dish cooked for you only.

My only other tip for Fantasea would be to pay the extra 400 baht or so for premium seating and get guaranteed good seats. I have been on an busy night with standard tickets, and got alomst the back row right in a corner and we had a poor view of the show.
