Am I just another sucker?
Am I a sucker or what?
Mind you, I have beed drinking a bit today, so that may be explaining why my head is spinning a bit right now. Well down to business: So here I am, minding my own business, sitting in a bar, not chatting up any girls and what walks up to me? A very nice girl of course. Doh!.... I am playing a little with her, when she asks for my name, I tell her: My name is Ya! ....But thats a Thai name? Oh it is? Where do you come from? Im from Isaan. She looks at me like Im taking the piss on her, which of course I am, so I just starts laughing a bit at her..(Kind of like an ice breaker, I like to think of it, but do I really need an icebreaker, I keep asking myself everytime I have used it? I dont know, maybe it's just my playfull nature.) Anyway we sit and talk a bit and I fess up to having rented a room in Patong for a year and being from where I am and all that. So she says that she was born and raised in Kathu, lost both parents in the Tsunami, didnt talk to anyone for 3 months, then moved to BKK, where she now works in a bar, where she plans to save up enough money for a business (That she told me much about, wont go into detail on it, but it actually sounds ok) She needed to get away from Phuket, because of bad memories etc. and decided to go to BKK and become a Bargirl. Sucker that I am, I actually believe her, and I get a bit sad of her story and all. And she feels sorry for me, and that she put her story on me and all. So we play a little pool and I barfine her, so she can play pool (Apparently according to the rules of the bar, she can not work (Pull customers in, get lady drinks) and play pool at the same time) So I decided to barfine her so we can play a little pool. Oh yeah, by the way, she beats me. So after that has gone on, I have somewhere along the way told her I was planning to go to Soi Cowboy tonight, so I decided now is time for me to leave. But something in me tells me she is a genuinely nice girl (Bargirl and all) so I tell her, when she is ready to set up her business in Phuket, she should call me, because I plan to live here for a long long time... So we swap numbers and I leave the bar. Here I am in the hotel room, just getting ready to go to Soi Cowboy and this urge to tell someone about it comes over me... All things equal, depending on who said what at what point in time in our conversation, she could be setting me up, but somehow I think she is genuine. Well, am I just another sucker or what? Edited to add: Not sure where to put this, so I put it in Nightlife. This is in Bangkok, but also touches nightlife and relationships with bargirls, so put I put it here, as I'd proberbly get more input here than in the non-phuket sections. Sorry Mods. hi lightmeup, i,d say play it along ,you dont have anything to lose and maybye she will be proved truthful
you could probably check out her story about her parents dying in tsunami quite easily , i think there is a list of names on the internet somewhere, find out her sur name and see if u can find her parents names on the list??

I also have never heard of the "bar fine to play pool" trick. Also, I can't see how anyone can just open up to a total stranger about their future in the way that she has done.
Perhaps you should ask yourself if you would feel the same way if she was 50 and pig-ugly Well ??

So what have you lost? A bar fine, big f*cking deal, you enjoyed her company for a few hours and you tipped her and the bar. No problem there.
You are there to enjoy yourself and that is what you have done - its no big deal, as I see it!

I went to Soi Cowboy and thats about all I will say about that....  She is quite charming though....Who?...Well, both of them...(Doh!)  Oh my ! This vacation is surely turning out differently than what I thought it would............

 I bet he is in bed with that young lady from Soi Cowboy and they are both thinking up names for thier new bar in Patong!! 555555 Come on Lightemup, I think the moment you told her you had taken a room in Patong for a year was the clincher for her!!! Read.........meal ticket!!! Or am I just being overly cautious? Have a great holiday Lightemup and stay out of that Mine field!!!

Am in Pattaya now. Alone. Took the Classroom bus down here....FUN! Looking for a place right now that serves scandinavian food. Need to message Malaysian also, I think he promised me a guided tour. BTW not going to take that girl for a vacation anyway, I got my common sense back this morning.
