Soi Seapearl RIP

According to rumours, Soi Seapearl will close within 12 months due to a new hotel project on that land.

I invest esle where.....There are plent of room in Patong. Look how many of the high end rooms are on late stays dot com.

I be doing my part to see that Soi SeaPearl Bars stay profitable!

Generally, that kind of rumours are true. Just remember Clinton Plaza....
Nicke, do you know if only Soi Seaperl is threatened or also the other bars on Sawadirak like Moon or Cat ?
Regards,
Bobby

When I hear rumours from my friends they are usually true.

Contracts on Soi Seapearl are only for a year at a time, maybe there will be no more renewals when the contracts ends.

I try to find out more regarding this topic.

Local Soi Seapearl...

On the road now know as Soi Sea Pearl or Sawatdirak Road.....
it is the north boundry of the square block
Soi Bangla, Beach Rd, 2nd Road.
Some nice hotels and resturants. Not as busy as Bangla but
more that one can finish in a month...I go to Moon Bar, Pic and Whistle and there is an indoor air con sports bar with pub grub Heros....1 row of bars off the street

http://www.gaypatong.com/general/maps/patongbigmap.htm link to a good map!

On a slightly different subject, how is Patong nightlife in June? Are there still many bars/clubs open?:

seapearl

I have many memories of Soi Seapearl , if it goes i will feel sad about it as it was the first soi i discovered the first time i went to Patong, I met a cracker of a girl there too who i still miss even now. (she married a german guy)
However , last november i popped over there a few times to see old friends who own/work at one of the bars and it was soooo empty compared to Bangla's sois, it has always struggled to keep up with the bangla rd area and maybe this could be for the best . RIP Soi Seapearl , sniff ..

Soi Seapearl

Hi,

I always stay at a hotel just up from Soi Seapearl.

My friends have a bar on the front street of Soio Seapearl (Power Bar).

When I told them that I had heard that it was going to be pulled down, they said I was wrong.

They have heard that some of the bars at the very back os Soi Seapearl (behind the new round bar in the middle) will be closed and demolished, then they are going to build a new hotel in their place. The rest of the bars will stay.

At xmas, some of the bars were pretty busy. Some were crap, but it is to be expected

I doubt very much that seapearl is closing. At the very least if Patong as a whole is included in the new govt closing time zoning plans then seapearl will become prime land space for entertainment venues and would thrive and prosper rather than rip!

Another Hotel?

Exactly What Patong Beach needs is another Hotel !!!,
I hear so often Tourists complaining about lack of Rooms on the Island !!!
If this "Rumour" becomes reality it will no doubt improve the sky line no end,
Lets hope this is not true!
I believe very much so that the Government needs to look at putting Regulation/Legislation in place concerning the "over supply" of Hotels/Guesthouses/Billboards before they turn this beautiful Ilsand into a large concrete lump !!!
Lets hope we do not lose Soi Sea Pearl to another Monstrosity,
Love those Babe/Bars

If you never been then worth a visit at least once , some nice bars with some nice little gems if you look for them , power bar is a good one to start with , i look at it as a change from going Bangla every night and because they know they have big competition from the sois of Bangla it puts you in a good position to bargain with these girls for your ST and LT , happy hunting

Power Bar

Hi Butterfly,

Chris and Jurgen from the Power Bar are good friends of mine. Most days Chris will come round to my hotel and swim in the pool and have a few drinks, and normally we play a lot of darts for drinks. They are 2 really great guys. Good music too!

I always go there before, and after Bangla

Soi Sea Pearl is situated next soi along from Banglaa in Soi Sawatdeerak and is usualy pretty Quiet during the day but has good bars on the front of its entrance (Cat Bar , Moon Bar, and The Noi Bar ) these open about 11:30 /1200am , and at night they are very hot with a better choice of girl but best get there about 8:00 pm so you don't get slopy seconds
Marc.....EE
I'll be back Patong from April 9 onwards

Yo Apollo ,
Thats right ......the next soi along from Banglaa awy from the buit up area..
But even during the day when you just whant to chill /relax with a beer
without the hassle of "where you come from " "buy me beer" , this you can get on the evening when your on the lash Down Banglaa and its many adjacent soi's ....Try the more relaxing atmosphere of Sawatdeerak when you have just come off the beech in the afternoon , 1st try the cat Bar ...This was the first bar built in sawatdeerak run and owned by Ausie Bill and Mai....
With the aid of Baby Ell , Then try Noi Bar in the evening with crazy but
lovable Noi
Sawtdee
Marc ....
See you all there from the 8th onwards
