Safari closed by the police, last night !
Although i am a bit fed up with it, my letheal weapon, who is not so letheal anymore kept me awake. He sais, c'mon Tintin, lets hit Safari. Ok, I said, and although there was some slight rain, I hit the road.
I was not there 30 minutes or the music shut down. Police ordered everybody to go. Many were stuck on the hill,as there were not enough tuk-tuk to take everybody back. A girl approch me directely and asked if I wanted her, and I said yes.
But when I said I lived in karon, she turned to another pointer, because she did not wanted to drive over the hill! home alone again!
But is this usual? I thought they left safari alone? Anyway, I must admit that the girls were not so pretty as the sunday I went, and even more ladyboys! In the light of the street, that was more obvious then inside. One guy I talked with, was approched by one, and he did not see it. I warned him discretely, and he turned away. Maybe pitty for the LB, but I think he could have catched a blue eye from this bloke, if he would have found out!

My experience has been that every so often the police come out and close Safari down early. I have no idea why this happens, but I don't think that it is particularly unusual.

not happened for a while. It used to put me off going to Safari. go all the way and then the police turn up and off goes the music.
That's why Soi Sansabai got so popular as the 'after hours' drinking venue. But i then heard on the grapevine that Safari had paid of the right people and Soi Sansabai was getting the police on their case.
Maybe the tea money ran out?

It happens every so often.. Sansabai as a drinking hole has little of the appeal of Safari (though I have been rat arsed in Superstars more times than I can count)..
As to 'tipping off' someone about a LB.. risky manouver.. Risky as maybe the punter knows but once its mentioned he then changes his mind becuase of perception, Risky cause maybe the LB will freak out due to loss of custom.. Etc etc etc.. I just steer clear and let anyone make thier own choices..

Well if I had hooked up with a LB unknowingly I would hope someone would tell me instead of me finding out the HARD way.

Turf war
Every now and then Safari gets a raid.It is only the local plod trying to show that they are being even handed. This gives them leverage to ask all the other clubs for a little "Christmas Bonus".
At least things around town are staying open reasonably late.Bangla does not close till 3am and I was in Crocodile Club to 5am recently.
I don't think Safari was ever going for its "White Certificate" - it breaks all the rules.

I was told that it is Bangkok Police there now for the high season. They even came to close the Karaoke Bars (Soi Tan, or whatever the name is) before Nanai-road last night at 4 o'clock. Last few month never had problems there with Police for closing.

Go on geespot, spill the beans. What's your gripe with Deputy Mayor Sukkaban? Considering his position, it's very surprising he's getting heat from the men in brown at Safari.

Good advice, IMHO. If it is your buddy, or a friend, then I think it is a bit different, but for someone you don't know well, or a stranger, then best to mind your own business.
For as is sometimes said, "No good deed goes unpunished!"

That is why I said 'discretely'. he was with a friend, so I asked if the guy knew who he was taking home. A few moment later the 'victim' came over and thanked me, for the tip! The Lb, never noticed that I gave it away. I talked to these boys earlier and they were very symphatic, would have been very fustrating for him as he desperately wanted to take home a real 'chick' that night.

This happened in pattaya too. The BKK police raided Lucifer disco a few times while Tony's disco remained untouched.
It's all about the tea money.

No, I just had dealings with him a few months ago when I was doing some tsunami relief in the area involving some playground equipment for a school.

Noop, but when Safari closes so early, there is no other alternative to be fast, to still find somebody, when the chicks are leaving.
