Phuket Nightlife - Phuket February 1st

i will be in phuket (katathani hotel) from february 1st until february 16st. I am German and originally I wanted to stay with my girlfriend. she broke up... now i will go on my own. :-)
anybody else there during this time? looking for nice people for hanging out, drinking beer and - of course - have some fun ;-)
i am 35 years old and looking forward to hear from you...

The Mai Thai bar is run by Nicke , who is responsible for this forum . It is in Soi Eric , off Bangla Road , click on the link at the top of this page and you can see a map.
Just pop in for a beer one night and introduce yourself to Nicke , he will make you welcome and let you know if other BM's are in the bar.

Sometimes I wish I am going by myself. You don't need to bring sand to the beach like I'm going to be doing.

Greg, check out the Newbie section of this forum for some good info to get you started. You can also check out the calander to see who will be in town at the same time you will be there.

I will be there for your last few days, by then you should have a smile on your face that will take some time to get rid of. Hope to meet you at MTB.

Welcome Greig.

The Katathani is a great place for a romantic holiday for a couple but it's way out of the way.Now,as you are single,it might be better to move closer to the action - ie Patong Beach.

When you arrive just introduce yourself at MTB and things will take off from there.

I will fly in from Bangkok on the 14th of February. I will only stay till the 17th doh since i have to fly to Bangers again for the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival. Maybe have some beers together

No one will be there at that time , far too early , best bet is to go between 10.00pm and Midnight as that is when most BMs will be in the bar.

A lot of people do not go out at night untill at least 9.00 pm.

Me, TW and 2 friends are staying in Safari Beach Hotel, Patong.

My mother, father, and 16 year old daughter will also be there, but I will place them on the beach in daytime and put them early to bed so they don't get any psychic damage.

Maybe one tip, rent a scooter for going around, katathani is little bit away from the action at kata Noi beach.

Hi Greg i will be in Patong from the 5-20th feb and you will find me and my GF in MTB most of the night for some drinks,and maybe we can arrange a BIG night out with all the BM´s who will be around that time

Hi Greg!

Ich bin aus Österreich.

Thats why the signature is in German. Lets keep it at that and continue to write everything on here in English so other BM's can follow the thread. I'll wont show up on the 14th till around 11pm cause its my first day offf and i have to check accomodation first in Karon-Area and check with my Diving Buddies for our planned Diving in the Similans.

Anyway we'll see us in MTB that Night anyway and have some Beers there and a chat.
