Does every bar have a mamasan?

Curious does every bar have a Mamasaans?are all mamasaans women?

Not every bar has a formal mamasan.. Often head cahsier will be in charge of barfines but theres not the strick mamasan order to many bars.. Just girls and cashiers of varying seniority.. Now every gogo I have been in on the other hand had a mamasan or papasan..

And a male would be a papasan.

Didn´t interesseted me if there is a mamasan or something like this. Should it? Didn´t like to barfine mamasan. Only saw one time an old lady in a ping pong show performing, which was really strange and more like a horror show. Also i had no intention to barfine her. Was this mamasan? Don´t know and don´t want to find it out!

Mamasan's take care of the girls when they have problems (with guys like you) or get ill.

Guess it depends of the location of the bar. If you have a busy bar its no need for a mamasan, a lot of girls would come there to work anyway.
I dont like the mamasan thing. In a lot of Thai-owned bars where the mamasan tell the girls who to go with, they have no choise.............Just like Tintin was booking a girl in Karon on his last trip..... Nothing bad said about Tintin, but I would never go to a bar where the girls have no input in who they want to go with......
In my bar, and also in most other bars that I know the owners, they dont care if the girls go with customers or not. I have a coupple of girls that only goes with men once in a while, but as long as they dont play games with the customers I dont care..... The day I have to order a girl to go with someone she dont find suitable, I would rather work as a lumberjack in 1m snow in Norway again.

Anyway back to the topic - pretty much same same. As in Thai culture they always look up/respect the older one (in the group) - the oldest one will generally play 'mother hen' and help out organising things.

What do you mean with guys like me?
I am sure i never made any problem to any girl. And i didn´t wrote something like that. I just gave an answer to the question why he is interessted if there are mamasans everywhere or not. I don´t care about it if or not. That´s all! I didn´t need mamasan´s help until now. I am respectfull and educated and over all veeeeeeery handsam.

And btw i don´t do the infight without protection in any case. Doing the P4P everybody should know this and not forget he is not the first one doing her.

We don't have any formal mamasan in MTB, but Ead may help to negotiate and talk with customers if the girls is new to the scene and/or don't speak english.
