Patong crowdy right now?
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if Patong is busy right now, or has been for the past few weeks?
Maybe I'll be visiting Patong again in two weeks time for a couple of nights.

Patong is pretty busy with tourists but the bars are not as busy - just seems to be a lot of families.

More couples than I have ever seen here wandering around in Patong..
I have a theory thats why the LB bars are doing so well... You see lots of couples in there and I am guessing that chicks feel safer with thier straight guy in a LB bar than in a girly bar.. The 'he wouldnt go there' line of thinking..

Or are they looking for a threesome with an add-on for her? Not wondering if some woman think quite the same not to be lesbian if they have a LB as the man not being gay! so everybody can have his fun without beeing embrassed

No I meant it in a way where they dont want thier BF's around BG's where they are tempted and make the assumption (note thats what they assume) that thier straight guy would not be attracted to LB's..
Kinda like a safer environment..

This kind of post always intrigues me and this time my curiosity has got the better of me.
No offence meant or intended (or double/hidden meanings !!) steven eleven but....
what difference does it make whether it is busy or not ? I mean, if someone says that currently it's quiet, will you change your plans and wait until someone posts that Patong is now busy ? Or will you still go down there regardless of whether it is busy or not ?
As I said, I'm not having a go or trying to start a fight - I was just wondering why the question gets asked

Only reason I can think of is seeing if you have to book a room before or just walk in, and knowing if you can try to ask a better price.

Hi Diz,
It's the sort of thing I would ask too. Not why he wants to know, but if there are crowds. Being older, I do not like crowds a great deal and if the sidewalks are packed then this is probably not the time for me to be there either. Had I been S11 I would have added that as a qualifier, but I am interested in the crowd situation.
One of the joys of now being retired is I can make a decision and act in a very short time frame. Flight costs are not that different when booking a week ahead or 3 months ahead so it makes little difference to me when I go. Other than of course, I'd like to get there real soon. for obvious pleasures of the flesh, reasons.

why I ask
I asked this question because I want to know which price I should pay when I step into a hotel when I arrive in Patong, I never book up front.
The best way to check this out is to ask if the nightlife is busy ... acc to me.

the hotel prices are normally pre-set depending on the season (low-mid-high peak-
no matter if patong is crowded or empty, it won,t alter the hotel price ,indeed they will probably ask more if they are quiet!)

Mid Season
Upcoming March\April mid season not that crowded and weather still nice.
Sidewalks in Patong, Pattaya and around Nana BKK are measured to 8 feet
wide only . Dense traffic in H seasons might require some patience or deviation to the street, have both radars on and avoid collision
