deals for the festive season

Gents just a question for those of you departing from the uk.
what sort of deals have you been getting and who with ?
let me explain my question on shopping around i have found some good accomodation deals but im unable to get the flights, yet if i book a £1500.00 package deal they have no trouble with the flights as the tour companys buy the seats in bulk on the aircraft.
so what are you guys paying as i have never paid that much before and i am getting fed up of trainee travel agents telling me the is no over deals .
thanks

You may check out what deals Singapore Airlines have now, they have lot of discounted deals and packages.

Some of their package deals require 2 night stay in Singapore, and you may also get e.g. 5 days hotel in Phuket, included in the ticket price, that is still cheaper than a regular flight ticket.

Eric - Have booked flight through KLM from Heathrow to BKK via Amsterdam for £715,still have to book onward return to Phuket but that works out at about £80 - £85 so £800 for flights.Have just received confirmation for 14 nights at C & N Hotel for B1200 per night so based on B65 to the pound overall cost for two weeks is going to be just a shade over £1k. Not too bad for peak season. Roll on the 23 December

Patong Lodge

Help/advice needed.
Is the Patong Lodge a decent place to stay.
I like the rates and website info., but the real
test whether a previous guset would recommend
the place. Has anyone been a guest, or had a TG
stay over? Will be in town first week of December.

Booking online

I booked a Lufthansa / Thai Airways flight BRU - BKK via FRA for 550 €. I used the website www.connections.be it's the travel agent located at Brussel's Airport. I used it before and was always satisfied. Sometimes, you can find very good deals for outbound flights. Eg: BRU - LCY for 44 €, BRU - ARN for 135 €, ...
Regards,
Bobby

Patong Lodge is ok but it may look better on the website than in real world, so don't expect too much from the website. It is budget and you get budget.
