Planning on going to the Soundwave Sunday on Laem Sing this w/end. Has anyone been recently? I read that it only runs through high season, so want to be sure that it's on if I'm gonna bike it over there.

Will take camera too, so hopefully post some shots up after.

On Sunday's Jenny's Bar on Laem Sing beach have an afternoon session from I think, 3-8pm (??)

Dodger posted that it was really cool loads of girls dancing on the beach, some beers etc etc

I was hoping he'd have some pics up to show us what it's like....?

I have been there 2-3 times in the first weekends of Feb (so a while ago) and I would not know if it still happens. If I remember correctly it was until 18:00.

Even though it was great chill-out music and a very nice setting, I never saw that it attracted a good crowd, and I never saw any dancing. but nice enough if you want to go to the beach anyway and have a drink before heading home.

There should be posters on the road bends near Laem Sing, I never noticed any other advertising.

I keep meaning to get up there, specially as Sunday is often a group beach day with the lads all taking thier tilak de jour..

Somehow we keep going south rather then up there.. Will see if I can pursuae them this week..

It was on last week and is advertised as being on this sunday, weather brings out the babes so if its sunny good crowd. It starts 3pm and finishes about 8pm, my only concern is this drinks ban for the weekend, you could take your own in a cooler but will it still be on this weekend? don't know how to check it out, might be better to leave it for one week

If anything I thought it might be a better place to go considering the booze ban, out of the way as it is.

Agree, it might be better for another week, but will probably go over anyway and take a look.

Well I managed to get up to Laem Sing for the party yesterday and have to report that a fun time was had by all.

It was pretty quiet when we got there at 4:30pm, so sat next door to the bar in a restaurant and had some grub waiting for the action to start. The booze ban was certainly not in force as everybody had a beer in hand (which was a relief!)

It stayed pretty quiet until about 7:30 ish but then a few more people turned up, some ladies

and also quite a large gay contingent - no problem, and if anything it guaranteed a lot of dancing later on.

We eventually moved up into the bar and got ever so slightly drunk and danced like sweaty maniacs on acid for the next hour and a half. Lots of fun and being on a dancefloor barefoot on the beach felt just great.

Music was cool, a few classics thrown in which always helps, and not too loud.

Almost became a statistic at one point though, went up the trail for the loo, but the toilet was being 'used' by two ladies (1 Thai/1 Farang), so ended up against a tree out back. suddenly this massive ttthhhhhuuuuummmmmpppp!!!!!! a coconut (huge!) had dropped from the tree I was next to, missed me by about 3 feet - scared the crap out of me too.

Not sure what time we left, but staggered back to Bangla later on and couldn't figure out why everyone was sober

WIll definitely make it back for a return soon, maybe even next week as it's a nice change to Bangla on a weekend. Would be cool to hook up with any others that go over.
