The changes to the bar make it look quite nice but it's probably the most boring bar in Patong (maybe not quite). I'll stay in my own country if I want to go to a bar like that.
Also when I go to a bar I like it if the owner comes around and says "hi" Nicke does it and so does Geir, but not this bar.  There are so many bars that are more fun....sorry but that's the truth. Cheers!

But we walked past the aussie bar last time we were in Patong, but it always seemed to be full of young groups of aussies. Not that that is a bad thing. But like many of the BMs we are more interested in socialising with a broader group of people. And when we do want to watch the AFL we go to the Sailor Bar.

Wow a "Pick on an Aussie" thread...I've gotta have a crack at this!
I think that many young Aussie's do it for the "comfort/safety" factor, especially if it is their first time O/S. A few of my mates do it as a form of “refresh” after being out in the remote locations for a week or two. One guy actually refers to it as his…”1st world fix in a 3rd world location” (he is not being rude, just his own explanation as to why he does it). But that doesn’t excuse those Aussies (or others) that come and just sit and drink in the one bar for their whole holiday…that’s just plain sad. They used to do this same form of “centralized congregation” in Bali which is another reason why I would personally avoid being inside such a “magnetic” location for any extended period of time. Not saying that LOS is or isn’t any more dangerous than any other location in the world…That’s just me and my own personal take on situational awareness. SD

Btw the other night outside those takeaway night meat vendors the guy next to me and my gf had two girls, one under each arm. He was slightly worse for wear his shirt unbuttoned down to the waist and each bg rubbing his chest so i asked could he handle two tonight ? His reply was " Sure, i`m an Aussie "

Come on now guys, us Aussie's aren't all that bad. Obviously every country has their bunch of wankers and there are plenty of them in Aus aswell. How many hard posts does one need to make advertising their business before they get booted.
I know I did in another forum to advertise something and I apologize to Nicke for not asking first. I won't do it again.... This forum is too good to put up with bs like that.

Many BM's have links to their sites etc in a signature. It's not the same as creating a separate thread to advertise yourself or slyly pretend to be someone else. BM's, is this correct? If not, I would have no problem removing it if it's offending or pissing people off..... Sishow, of course I want to have correct forum etiquette
