What is happening in Patong ?

Hi guys !

I have been out of the nightlife in Patong for a couple of years, but Im "forced" back this christmas.

So forgive me for asking some newbe questions....

1) How many of the gogos are still open ? whats the bf there, and whats the normal rate for LT ?

2) Which BB areas are good ? whats the standard price for Beer, bf and LT ?

3) Last time I was in Patong, Taipan and Shark Club was good picup-joints ? Are still Taipan and Star xxx still the best places or ...???

4) Tiger was a new place last time I was there, how is this place ? Are there still BB outside the entrance (2.floor) ?

5) Any nightlife in soi Sansibai or soi Sunset ( except VIP and Taipan)

I will be happy to buy a beer or two to boardmembers that are celebrating the holliday in Patong. C U

not sure when you was last there , but some of the bars on soi bangla have been refitted out ,the is building work on going across patong ,well the was when i was there in march .
as for celerbrating at xmas well im there so see you at mai thai .

I was in Patong 2 weeks ago and stayed there 5 nights.

1) Most of the gogo bars are located in Soi Seadragon. As I don't like too much the gogo bar scene, I cannot really give you an accurate answer but I think there are no more than 10 a gogo bars in Patong.
I went to Flash a gogo. I was quoted that short time (2 or 3 hours) is 2000 B (barfine included). Barfine is normally 500 B. I don't know the rate for LT (I had 1 girl who worked there during my trip in february but it was after 2 AM and we agreed for 1500 B for all night).

2) I really like Soi Eric but I also like Gonzo bar. Soi easy was empty but we picked up 2 really sexy girls there. Prices for BF are 200 B. Rate for long time is 1000 B. Some girls may ask more but all the ones we picked up were happy with a 1000 B note the next morning. Price for beers is usually between 60 and 80 B, depending on what kind of beer you drink.

3 & 4) I haven't checked the discos this time. Tai Pan looked dead when we walked in front of it. Tiger was closed. There is a new beer bar street next to tiger (the old UB40 complex).

5) Soi Sunset is dead. There are a few beer bars but empty. Nightlife in v-plaza is boring (at least in low season). Soi Sansabai has not too much to offer except restaurants and hotels. But a place called "lovely friend" can really be a good place some nights.

I just came back last night:

Soi Eric is still the place for beer bars (being partial to MTB), I like U2 though.

just recently on Sunday, Taipan, VIP and Star World was packed!!!
