Music in bars?

Am planning on coming to phuket in octeober (my flight is already booked) and wondered what sort of music gets played in the bars and night clubs? Am into dance music, but for some reason I have it in my head that it will all be like europop Is ther emany bars that play dance music that we have in england, old skool, drum & bass, house etc....

Might seem like an odd question but would love to know

No theres little up to date tunes..

Some basic pop / house / Euro gets played.. Very much a please all levels (and cater to a older crowd) rather than anything underground or good DJ's.. Marginally better than it was a few years back but still a long way from clubland.

answer to your second........no probably not.......as LiL said.....too many old buggers in the audience....probably including me......... who would walk out if you played any kind of underground/hardcore of any genre..........not to mention the girls........they hate anything they can't sing along to.....they just love singin' along!!!!

Remember there is no (or very little at least) drug culture here in the clubs......just booze.......... so it doesn't make sense
