during the day there's a lot to see on the island. an island round-trip is great and you get to see a lot of interesting stuff.
come nighttime i had great times at maithaibar and love bar

Have a look at the Search function tjockey. Most of this has been covered in other threads,restaurants,bars,clubs etc.

one of my favorites:

down in chalong, i think its chalong bay, where all the speed boats tie up
theres 2 bars. one of them puts small platic tables and chairs right by the water. good to have a nice late afternoon snack. only warning, mosqutio repellant! they will bite your ankles off

one of the places i like most is a restaurant / bar upon kata noi beach in the hills. if you go from kata to nai harn at the coast you can`t miss it.
(not far away from kata view point)
They have good food, reasonable (farang) prices and a nice view over the ocean. Even a nice sunset view there.
Very nice.

go out to beer bars(2 black sheep/ mai tai /love bar etc with t/g at about 11pm after eating--
stay out till about 3-30 am ,during this time-- get as mao as poss with-out falling over,
stagger back to loom -- hab chower,
play hide the sausage,
fall asleep, stay in bed all next day, then repeat the whole thing again till its time to go home to uk
