Phuket In November

Hi everyone We (my wife Kath and I ) are coming to phuket in November staying at the Petong Merlin Hotel. Have been to phuket before, once 6 years ago and just want to know what to expect this time. Just want to relax have fun and and enjoy the night life. What are the best bars to go to to have fun we are both broad minded and like to play a bit kath doesnt mind me playing. Are there better bar/discos where the girls dont shy away because we are couples. Whats the entertainment like. Drink prices, transport on the tuk tuks, good places to eat etc. What the weather like like then 12th to 23rd Nov. All the normal questions Want to have a ball and not frightened to have a good time in more ways then one. lol Sorry for so many questions. Bob and Kath

I might be the first, but i won't be the last to tell you this, do a search on the forum... Everything you ask has been covered in one way shape or form.

Weather will/should be good.
Food, lots of great places to eat
Drinks and nightspots also many (go to MTB and suggestions will be made)
If you're a couple it really doesn't matter, if you approch and talk to the girls they will be responsive... But if you're hidding away in a little corner than you will probably be left alone.

Bars are everywhere, take a walk and find your own favourite. Drinks prices will become apparent but there is no real big difference bar-to-bar, loads of good info here about eating places and can't help you with clubs (I did not go to one this time out ) but you could do a lot worse than Safari.

Tuk-tuks are relatively expensive and I have not used one (in Patong) for a long time and never will again if I can help it.

You have now received a few smacks on the legs (use the search) which I agree with.

November is the first high season month.The Merlin in Patong is still a good place and does a lot of Aussie trade.The majority of Patong is still as it was 6 years ago despite the Tsunami.

You can eat and drink just like last time and if you call in at MTB they will give you even more pointers.

November is one of my favourite times of year in Phuket - really like Loy Kratong. Nice clean beach. New girls coming into town.

November is my preferred month. Everything is building up for high season, so there are many new girls and big stock for shopping. And you can bargain, because everybody thinks that big money will come later.

But check for a good hotel with enough rest place for rainy days. Last year it was still raining by mid-november. Maybe this year will be better, who knows.

100% agree with Gregor and Coolhand. November is excellent. Weather last year 50/50. In the morning up untill when we wanted to go to the beach at 1 or 2 am sunshine. After that cloudy and some rain. Number of people ok. Not crowded like December and January, but busy enough. Welly good because I NO LIKE. And i also agree Loy Krahtong is fantastic. For me NOVEMBER.

by the way jossie i did not notice the 1am to 2am sunshine

Try a couple of the gogos.....Dragon is a good place to look ......most of the gals are for ST (short time) only......but there are plenty of others like Rock hard (top of Bangla)where you can meet the gals as a couple.......some of the ones in the sois are a bit cheesey but pop your head in and take a look..........if ya don't like it pop ya head back out quickly.............55555

You'll also have good fun in Soi Tiger complex after midnight as there are plenty of exhibitionist gals in the bars there up on poles and having fun...........Tiger disco upstairs has a good mixed crowd and music............plenty of gals to flirt with up there too!!

get out and about........you'll love it!

a bit? i remember two weeks almost everytime rain.
But hopefully it was an exception and will be better this nov.

I honestly can't tell you if the Patong Merlin is GF...Might be worthwhile an e-mail direct to the hotel with the burning question...this way if they say they are GF by e-mail and change their minds when you get there you've always got the proof in writing that they told you they were GF so you don't have to pay a joiner fee...

Perhaps other BMs might know if this hotel is GF or not?

Just booked my flight for November.

Leaving Heathrow 11th Nov @ 21:35. Will have 16 nights in Patong, possibly a few days diving on Phi Phi (never dived before, or been to phi phi)

Finishing off the last three nights in Bangkok.
