Lights...camera...action!
Hi to everyone here. My first posting prior to my 2 month holiday in Phuket jan 2007. Cannot wait!
A couple of questions people may be able to help me with. I will be renting a serviced apartment while I am there. Might I still be charges a Joiners fee? I am looking to photograph/film thai girls when I am there which is partly the reason I am going. How camera shy are these girls? Will they pose if the money is right? Obviously I would have to agree things beforehand so any idea of what they might be looking at in terms of payment? Would like to hear from anyone that has done something similar. I will be staying in the Karon beach resort. Thanks Mark

Hi all,
I've searched this and another popular forum in regards to bringing a sex toy into the country as well as googling for references to the Thai Customs Service but as yet I've come up with no definitive answer in regards to bringing, for example, a small vibrator into the country. There appears to be little doubt that it is illegal to sell them in Thailand (though like most things illegal they can be found in country) but the only reference I could find in regards to a tourist bringing them in on the Thai Customs website was a vague reference to "pornographic material" being illegal. The topic has been discussed at some length on both forums but still nothing concrete. Some say yay some say nay. It would appear the best way to go would be to not risk the vagaries of Thai officialdom and leave the toys at home. But I figure I can tell em the rope is for a make shift clothes line  Wokka. (newbie)

In that case I recommend you don't use the cheap Thai batteries in it here...they won't last very long
Best to pay for the more expensive longlasting ones. Of course I'm basing this on how long Thai batteries last for in my Digital camera

Sex toys they just confiscate at airport I reckon would probably charge a Thai though especially if a few and they thought for sale.. We always used to bring a few from holland for wifeys mates.. she would wrap it as a present and give it to them in the bar.. Much hilarity and joking as they unwraped a 12 inch big black mamba or similar.. Never got stopped but it is illegal.
As to the filming.. BE VERY CAREFUL !!! I was offered a lot of money to make non porn vids and pics.. just some nude, girls gone wild, party stuff.. Wet T shirts.. Drunk and nakid in pools.. Sounds like money for old rope right !! just film a few weekends with extra spending money, nothing special for a fair bit of USD plus all costs.. Well asked around amoung some Thais I knew and one farang in legal connections.. Every single one said stay well away unless I wanted to do time in a Thai jail. Any girl can drop you in it to her friendly police mate who will split your bribes and fines payable to get you out with her.. Even the flash of a nipple can be enough to get in serious trouble if they want to.. of course they dont bother a tourist but if they want to its major jail time.. The old owner of shark club ran away from 30 mil baht investment and the best club in town because of a few year old photo of a girl topless !! Basically be aware of the risks of what your considering.. Filming nudes in Thailand is possible to do real jail time.. Couple of years in a Thai nick no thanks.

You try asking any of the DVD sellers in their hideaway rooms for any p@rn with Thai girls in and they won't have any...yet there'll be heaps of US/UK and Japanese DVDs.
That guy in Bangkok with his asianstreetmeat site must be passing on some pretty thick brown envelopes to somebody to keep doing what he is doing with the BGs there. Presumably his site is not hosted in Thailand?? Last edited by landofsmiles : 12-08-2006 at 13:13.
