why banana in the list. went there last week at the end of my holiday to see if it has changed and NO it's still a shit place to go to. I went to go into banana,charged 400 baht entry then they gave you 2 tickets for two free drinks but when you went to the bar the bar staff looked a bit puzzled when i asked for a drink, after the 4th person took the tickets i got a drink. why don't they do what tiger do and don't charge entry and you just buy the drinks when you get in there.no tickets to worry about. As for the size of the place, i've seen bigger pubs in southampton and banana's called a nightclub. as you can gather i don't like the place much.

Tiger has no entry fee now but I am sure they will charge next month, last year both Banana and Tiger charged more during Christmas and New Year's eve too.

I haven't heard anything yet but I suppose it will be like previous years, all night during christmas eve and new year's eve.
Overall now the closing time has been around 2:30-3:00 lately on most beer bar streets. Quote:

VIP, for the music. Does anyone know how that new club between VIP and Tai Pan is? Mai Thai, to relaxe in the best street of Patong. Tai Pan, for the large amount of girls Kamala beer garden, to meet friends a bar with pool table, doesnt matter as long as there is enough space to play a decent game! (Champs)

There was 2 kangaroo bars.. The most popular and busy one with the cuter girls (run by Ott) is opposite Soi Easy.
Disco's I like Dragon or Tiger.. Bars under Tiger are jumping but as high season approaches it gets a bit much as a regular drinking haunt.. Taipan always good for a FL'er.. Most of my serious drinking gets done in bars away from Bangla these days..

I actually liked all the nightclubs except banana which was a shithole, If i was to pick one i suppose taipan would just squeeze it and dragon for the pool was a close second... Never really got to many other bars as i really liked the mai thai and i was only there for 10nights, Next time im going to explore the place a lot more as ill be there for a month so roll on april

taipan(why? easy walk in and out definately number one a great atmosphere with a shit load of women all different ages,shapes and sizes)
soi eric(good music all the same through out the soi) tiger(chicks,chicks and chicks) kangaroo bar(to watch patong and the world go by with not a care in the world) cocktails and dreams(for great laughs with the lbs)

Drinking on street
Spent a good night drinking with some New Zeland and Aussie Guys outside Tiger Disco across street. Some thai girl was selling beers from, a cooler. Watching all the girls and taking the pick of the litter after all the bars have closed. Not a bad time
