well far be it for me to spread rumours BUT i have heard the is a bar called Mai Thai in soi Eric,
now the rumours are that on new years day the will be a go kart grand prix and the English team are the hot favorites, but shhhhhhhh keep it under your hat.......

IMHO suggest you go to a bar 7/8 ish and enjoy yourselves - it will be unusually packed on Soi Bangla and be careful of the chinese firecrakers if you are of a nervous disposition...or just get in the wrong place at the wrong time! Still barring getting deafened you should have a great time.... since you are newly-weds then about 11.30pm head for Beach Road or the beach itself - again care of crzy Thai's letting of randon fireworks.... but at midnight always get an awesome firwork display that should be really romatic for you to bring in the new year.
After that haed to one of the 3 discos - Banana on Beach Road (packed but best music) - Tiger (huge but killed Shark whick we loved so not a big fan) or Star Club (3rd recent incarnation of the fantastic Shark Club) - after that can keep partying. Good Luck and Sawasdee Bee Mai |

Joe Bananas Bar
I was at this bar a lot in Jan, Feb, March 2004, I met a girl there called Ket, payed her bar fine a few times, has any one else met her ??......Nick D
