Hey guys,
Great forum here, really useful guide before my trip here in Phuket. Just finish my rounds at Patong. Met a really pretty lass, and was quoted bar fine 600BHT with ST 3000BHT (1 hour 1 pop). Now, is it me or the standard of living has gone sky rocketed? I have to pay over 4000BHT (including room rental) for a shot?!?! Wanted the opinions of you folks here whether someone encounter the same situation. Thanks heaps. Cheers, Jeff

1000 - 2000 baht LT should be the maximum so to pay 4000 baht including room and BF was about double what you should have paid for LT.
But some ladies will ask for that much.

 do alittle bit of searching on this site for other opionions. but the price for ST usually goes from 800 baht to maybe 1200 baht depending on the BG. Heck LT generally goes for no more than 2000 baht. It all depends on the BG also. If she is a stunner and you have to have her, then maybe 3000 baht may be reasonable for you. Not me though.  Pretty steap barfine as well. Must be a great bar

She might have a large family and need that much to support them. Why is it not OK to pay this one the asking price, but OK to pay the other asking prices that are much lower? I thought most on this board were OK with the rates and asking prices. I don't get it sometimes. This paying BG's is getting complicated. I'm taking my business back to the local bar scene where a couple of drinks and nice conversation can get LT for nadda and sometimes it comes with free breakfest.

she was just chancing her arm. because, although 500 st, 1000 lt is the guide price, it is all up for negotiation, so she quotes you a crazy price because;
1. she has plenty of money at the moment (sponsors?), so doesnt need to fxxx you, but hey, what the heck, I`ll do it for an inflated price. 2. she maybe thought you were a newbie, and didn`t know the going rate. 3. thats just her opening gambit anyway, she`s willing to be negotiated down. always remember, you are the customer, if the price is to high, shake your head and walk away. its not like she`s the only girl in phuket, is it?

strangely enough, this reminds me of last year when I spent 3 months in Patong. Because I wouldn`t go above 1k baht the girl said to me `ah, I understand, you live here in Patong, right`?
Then everything was ok for her, because I `knew the rules`.

Yes Ok. We all know the rules... But being a newbie and faced with the luscious manipulations of a beautiful woman, while drunk, makes it hard to think clearly. Most people do not like to offend and negotiating for a woman's body seems so tacky when you are having a good time.
My response to over egging, (not that it happens very often to me now) is a quick smile. "You are so beautiful and I would love to pay that but I must save money for my holiday. How about 1500..." If the answer is no, buy a drink and say goodbye. Mac

Yup, I must agree of not succumbing to the urge and sticking to "market rate".  In the end, it was just a friendly drink and good bye before I wander off to other joints. Just curious why the gal even think she's going to get it at such rate. Maybe someone before me has paid that much (duh!).. Jeff

Totally agree 500BHT st is just being cheep. The girl must look like a dog or she was really in need of cash.
I usually pay 1000BHT to 2000BHT st /Lt. For a stunner 3000BHT LT will be max to the max 3000BHT st is on the high side. which bar was it in? Last edited by redtoothgecko : 29-09-2006 at 05:32.

Mate, I was at a buck's night in Sydney, at a "gentlemen's club" and an ugly-troll stripper with teeth missing asked me if I wanted to go with her all night for $900 Aussie dollars!! (thats 25,000 Baht when you compare).
I told her I can fly to Bangkok and have a gorgeous TG (with all her teeth) for 2 days for that money. She left me alone after that.
