new year in kata

me and the missus are staying at the kata lucky villa over new year and am wondering if anybody can give me any idea as to what happens over new year or anywhere we can go on new years eve. its our first time to thailand so any info or advice would be great

My advice, have a nice dinner in Kata and then head off to Patong before midnight, the party will be kiking the whole night long !!!yeahh

if you like lively night life hampster, you could trav to patong and visit the mai tai bar in soi eric in bangla road
its not too far from where u are staying ,in a tuk tuk or cab(about 20 mins ride)
it depends what you like really

sounds good to me. aye.... we like a good drink and a laugh so will get fed and then head to patong for a good few scoops.

Last year I ate on the beach. It is the last restaurant, south side. Good food, fireworks on the beach, and not expensive.

Will be there again this year, so maybe I will see you!

Agree with Tin Tin on the better location in Kata but being Kata minded even I would choose Patong for New Years Eve

Last year I was with family. 3 years ago I was with a friend and I took him after dinner to Patong. He went hysterical, as the crowd was so overwelving, never seen so much people there.

I had to go back to Kata, because that friend, really panicked. Main reason, I will not travel to Los with a friend.
