Star Club (Ex. Star World, Star Wars, Shark Club) + new disco
Once again, Star World changed their name to Star Club, they announce a new club is born at December 20: Star Club.
Dragon Entertainment is the new disco at Soi Easy, also grand opening on December 20. I am not sure if this is the name of the disco or if they change the name of the street from Soi Easy to Dragon Entertainment.

Star Club
Hi Nicke - hav'nt met you yet - but taken 4 years (living here) before discovering this pretty informative site. The 4th reincarnation of 'Shark' as Star Club means they ripped down all the tacky alien crap inside - put up some what looks like bomb proof metal work - made the seating virtually useless, and I still don't think they've considered the pool tables upstairs for when our US Navy buddies come over - hmmmm sure could be exciting - unlike now!
Seems strange how they now own Tiger and Shark and whilst free entry to Tiger ensure most the girls will drag their punters that way, but to kill off what must have been the most profitable enterprise on the island is astounding (and very sad). Still lots of prizes - so if you have a hot girl who can dance you should score some of the prizes up for grabs! - even get a few free drinks. The DJ has improved a lot and great club is about the music - hence Banana's continuing success - so perhaps Star Club will turn out OK - we certainly hope so!
Dragon Entertainment has no disco - but the massive new development opposite Star Club (due to open Nov 2004) will have a new disco and parking for 1400 cars (what does that = 10,000 motorbikes?!)

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.
The Tiger/Star Club thing is strange, they are competing with themself. I have to visit Star Club then to see the changes.
Dragon entertainment/disco (inside) had grand opening yesterday, I went and had a look. It consist of two parts, first parts is very similar to the old "MP Family entertainment" which they opened last year and then closed down few months later. Now they added 6 pool tables thought, but inside, the second area is the nightclub, lot of crome and black walls/ceiling and dancefloor, disco lights/strobe and a big projector TV.
Not many people inside Dragon disco, when I went home I saw the big crowd from Tiger leaving, busy ar usual.

Dragon Entertainment Disco et al
Checked out disco scene across all Patong lst night - on the whole seemed a little subdued, but maybe the party/firworks on the playing fields in N Beach Road pulled away some biz.
Still Dragin Club done a nice job in decor and music - just need punters! New pool tables at 20 Bhat/game and regular drink prices seemed to be main draws from the entrace section. The main disco has a decent layout lasers and decent DJ and for the amount of sustomer far to many hostess girls. Had a decent drink and chat with them and TONITE 26th Dec is the grand opening - so worth checking out for a change.
Star Club struggling 100 Bhat entrance (includes free drink) and free buffet everyday from 9pm (worth noting!! as its pretty tasty) and we were the only takers! Still not many girls and not many customers -as this is Ms Sanouk favorite haunt we went back again at 1am and not much improvement. Think Tiger Entertainment need to decide which place they want to thrive as Tiger club was heaving and had a good time there, music getting better all the time and seemed full of crazy Italians - no problem though all pretty friendly and in serious party mood - noticed some very agressive freelancers picking off the unwary tho, so worth staying alert to some of the seedier tricks that are going on. Finally headed to Banana - again heaving and was past its peak, seems a 50:50 split guys/girls so Tiger probably current hottest spot for girls. OK giving it a break - any hot New Year parties anyone know of please suggest.
Happy Partying All!
