Seduction Disco (Nightclub)

They opened today, I planned to give them a visit but unfortuneately they closed 2 am. I did had a peek at 02:45 thought when staff cleaning up.

It did look lot smaller than 3 months ago, the second floor is bigger now and the dance floor looked small when bars and chairs/tables is in place along the sides. It doesnt look bad but I was maybe expecting more from the talk and rumours before.

They will close 04 am from now on, there may be a private party tomorrow before public is allowed to join.

Today people got free drinks... The guy I talked to who was there earlier said it was good and comfortable chairs. The same guy said he would not go there if beers is going to cost 300 baht, but he had no idea of prices as everything was free today.

I will be back in coming days to see the light and sound in action...

Instead me and Ead went to Tiger disco, packed and crowded as usual, 35% farangs and the rest girls. I do think a disco without freelancers may not be so bad, as Tiger disco is too crowded for me.

One of my friends invited me along tonight for some VIP event. Not sure what it's about but I think for the media etc in Phuket.

I haven't been yet but I'll give some feedback tomorrow about the joint...

I went there tonight again, this time they closed at 04. I do like the place, the seats around is very comfortable. They have a real dance floor without tables on it like others do to avoid disco license fees. Farang DJ.

The place itself is more classy than other discos here.

They had freelancers inside, thought they were going to be banned, but not disturbing amount of them inside now, but just the second day since opening.

Beers cost 140 baht, only 20 baht more than Tiger and thats not too bad, as rumours said it was going to be 300 baht.

I like the place, we will see what happens in coming months...

I did some movie clips and will try to put it together soon so you get a feeling of the place. Lighting and sound is good aswell.

Sounds promising! Thanks for the report.

This might be a place for me to get in "Italian mode" complete with sunglasses, tight shirt and copious amounts of jewellery and hair product....

Thumbs up

Went there first with Geir (11.30pm) and again with the Mrs and met up with Nicke (3.00am).

Its not quite the ambiance of Shark Club yet - but I loved the place ... this is what I have missed so much since Shark Club got closed down.

The fit-out is first class - great lighting, sound system - just oozes style.

Has a proper gallery over the open dance floor - no vile cement crap to block the view, and no tables cluttering the dance floor. Podium in the middle for the show-offs.

Music level is just right - not turbo boom-boom Thai levels that you get ear drum damage and can still hold a conversation. Farang DJ was good - need to hear more to get a better impression though.

Pricing - no entrace fee (thanks Geir) and later when letting general public in - no-charge either, not sure if this will last. Beers 140 Baht and JD/coke 170 Baht - not prohibitively expensive.

Anyways gets a massive thumbs up from me - and hope that its a success, a very welcome addition.

There are some points dropped - was told by a BM here about being short changed - hope this is not common occurence - especially for an expat. Lack of waitress is a bit of a concern - you have to order drinks at the bar - but sure staff will be increased as business picks up. Downstairs was as cold as Finland in places - tweaking of AC required.

Will see how it develops - no comment on TG availablity - I personally dont care - as its somewhere I will enjoy going with the Mrs, but I do appreaciate that many BM's here will be on the prowel for talent.

Went again last night 05/11 - twice! - at 11.45pm was beginning to fill up - wet Loy Kratong was bonus for them as the street festival was rained out. (NB - Tonight is the Miss Bar Girl Patong Contest in Bangla Road - not Seduction). Went back in at 2.30am and was much busier than pervious night and LiL & Co were partying on - was good vibe and pity could not hang around any longer. Further info on prices; Corona 180 Baht -- SM Light 140 Baht.

I went there today again, today even more busy than last night and I got 3 beers for free.

I also met Lightemup and LivinLOS there tonight among the guys from MTB.

I like the place myself, not everyone may agree with me, but it suits me fine. Still better than Tiger disco in my opinion. If you look for a girl/freelancer Tiger or taipan may still be better choice.

An old gits first impression, Sishow would fit in well judging by his choice of shirts he would blend with the nice flock wallpaper, didn't really hear the music being to quiet, large central dance floor, upstairs balcony, felt no real original design thoughts, reminded me of poor clubs back in the UK from about 20 years ago. Beer prices okay think 2 beers and a soda ( soda for bigboy before you accuse me or Duncs for letting the side down!) was 400 baht. Not enough FL's in there but to be fair left at 2.30am and could be a late night option after Taipan or Baya, a few clubs here have there time slot, ie Banana 12 til 2, Baya 2 til close etc. All in all didn't like it on first impression but will no doubt try it again and again just for research purposes.

Anyone go to the full moon party on Trang Beach yesterday? any good? thought it sounded a good idea and the beach there is perfect spot.

Will get to the music last..

Arrived a bit too early, scoped inside and out, flock wallpaper theme a bit odd but I thought it looked good enough. Upstairs bar zone provided lots of seating mingling area. Decor plain but usable, not slick modern or making any kind of statement but not bad in any way either.

I went and looked around while it was a concrete shell with no roof, kinda had the impression it was larger than it is, now theres multiple bars inside and all the fittings its shrunk somehow. Still large enough but not Tiger or even Shark sized I reckon.

Nice heavy AC in operation, lots of vents to position yourself if your getting your funky mojo on, this aint no Baya beach temps, more Finlandia !! A++

Drink prices are a bit up there.. I was paying 180 for my vodka lippos.. Burnt through >4k in the 2 hours I was in there.. Not enough to stop you going but enough to be concious of it.. Of course if your only dropping in on route home with a girl then its a small thing, if your spending the night in there it gets bigger. I also tipped a fair bit as I consider than an investment with new staff in a place your going to be a lot..

One small customer service gripe, I chatted to one of the owner / manager consortium, he seemed cool enough and as I was bopping about said 5 free drinks if I got people on the dancefloor.. I pushed the girls out and he hands over a couple of comp drink cards (cool I did bugger all for it) but when I gave them to the staff a vodka lippo wasnt possible.. Now at this point I may have given 500 baht in tips, spent 2k in a matter of under an hour, present a comp drink card from the boss and they wont accept it because its 20 baht of lippo in there.. I would understand if I was taking the piss and ordering a double Remy Martin but I thought that petty.. Tiny thing but your opening, someones throwing money over the bar, tipping each purchase and they are rigid over 20 baht.. This is the time to impress people with smily happy staff and punters.

So the all important music.. Personally nothing else in a club can be such a make or break item, it dont mean thing if it aint got that zing !! We went into it at 1.45.. to early !! Very quiet bordering on empty.. no one really on dancefloor (one uber hottie on the podum, dont know if they salary girls yet).. At this point music was so old it was laughable in 10 mins I heard valilla ice ice baby and hammertime.. The 80s called and they want thier music back !! Thai DJ.

At 2am farang took over, started playing real tunes, nothing cutting edge or really funky but definately ok music and well beatmixed.. Sad to see no vinyl decks at all just a CD DJ with what looked like a PC setup (software I havent seen before, toyed with Tracktor / PCDJ / etc).. Once he got on and started playing dance music, dancefloor started to fill up fast (possibly as bars closed also) and was getting busy.

At 3 on the dot he switched styles to hip hop and club rap.. Now its not my personal taste for a club but it might be for some. Thing is it takes a really good DJ to be able to work a vibe between the more diverse hip hop sounds and at this point was not beatmixed and not great / fresh sounds... Within 10 mins the dancefloor had only 1 or 2 people on it.. He cleared it and broke the vibe he had going.. Kept this sound up until 3:30.. When he switched back to mixed dance for the last 1/2 hour and people back on the floor. Ending the night with a slow Phil Collins smooch song just reminded me of school discos.. Cheese factory.

So the all in all shows promise, just hope they are not going to do that kind of timezones through the night thing with the music that some clubs here try to do to keep everyone a little bit happy.. A workable DJ but nothing to blow your socks off with.. Good venue, good layout, DJ needs to find his stride and keep some kind of musical flow going more.. Will be back, probably a lot.

Yes I went over to the FMP after.. Great setup.. Will write another review later.

good post,,,from my experience working in clubs both uk and asia,,,rnb/rap is too mundane im afraid,,a few every now and again is fine,,however dance /funky house tunes are making a comeback in a big way,,some great tunes are available to all now courtesy of the net,,,good djs will source these tunes ,,and play them,,i cant believe im listening to the same tunes in phuket night after night,,,a top dj playing top tunes who can read a dancefloor=busy club,,,its simple,,,play allsorts of music,,for allsorts of people.job done.

Nice detailed review LiL..........could be worth an NYE experience by the sound.........I've never found anywhere....(well apart from the usual suspects...... cheers Nicke/Geir/K2/Crusty)..........that I would consider suitable for a decent NYE club experience in Patong...........perhaps we could give it a try this year.......if it gets better

That is if you are sticking your head out the door.........wouldn't blame you if you were stayin in.........maybe we could get a posse up.......????

Yeah........ THats a point!

What are the rules in Patong over New Years eve? Is anywhere ticket only? Or is it first-come-first-serve.

Do you have to wear pink to get served at Love Bar? Or do you need to be wearing a Sweden top to get one at MTB?

Is there one side of the bar for old people at MTB and the rest for the young? Or does everyone hold hands and play pass-the-parcel at Love BAr?

Emmmm..........

Seduction close at 05 now, Taipan and Baya was dark when i went home. Me, Kevin and Gollum among girls and other people was there late this night. (Sorry, I had to mention Gollum as he told me in MTB earlier he never go to a disco)

Looks like they have an agreement with police in place now.
