Do any of the bars in Patong serve Morgans Spiced Rum - this is a golden coloured sweet rum drink. Its not the same as Captain Morgans which is a dark rum although I think its made by the same people.

Its become Scotlands third national drink (whisky first, iron bru second!), everywhere in Scotland serves it, but it doesn't seem as popular outside of us.

Just wondered - will bring 2 bottles duty free anyway but that will only last the wifey and I about 3 days at the hotel.

I have seen it in a few bars in Patong over the last few years, but to tell the truth, can't remember where or when. But I have deffo seen it!

Its pretty popular down here in England too, but there is comp from Barcadi spice here in some bars (ie my dads!)

It is a great drop.We had some for a while in the bar.

I thought from where you come from you would prefer Drambuie - the spirit of 45?

You can get Drambuie everywhere out here.

I thought I was the only person who likes this Rum.

I have seen it in Thailand, but it's not called "Morgans Spiced" as it is in the UK, it is called "Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Gold" with a completely different label.

Check out Captain Morgans to see what it looks like.

I found it in one of the Beer Bars right opposite "Scruffy Murphys" on Bangla Rd.

Re. Drambuie - nah, its OK over ice occasionally. Heck, I dont even drink whisky! I'll stick to me rum :-)

If u r really stuck u can buy Captain Morgan's Gold (same as morgan spiced) in the supermarket in Ocean on Bangla. (I used to buy 1 everynight) If you want to drink at the bar and they dont have it - sell them the bottle, they will then sell you back per drink or cover charge you for ice and mixer

I never thought of doing this!

If I remember I might try this on the odd night when over there next!

But can you buy Maddog 20/20 (strawberry and Kiwi flavour!) in Ocean? Or if thats not available, how about Thunderbirds wine?
