Welcome to the board!
Well if you are staying at the same coconut village as I did a number of years back, than it is no more than a 10min walk to Bangla. So its no problem to find a short-time place, be it hotel room or girl at a massage establishment.
If you are looking for a st massage, then have a search on this site for Christans. Which is only a few min walk from Coconut village. Or there is a number of smaller places all along most streets in PAtong. Try Nanani RD, there is loads!!!!!
If you want a st hotel, than just ask the bg, as she will know where they are!
Hope this helps, but you will have a great time anyway. I was sharing a room at the Coconut village with friends my first time in Phuket too!

any tips on the MUST sees of patong? coz i;ll only be there for 3 days and 2 nights :-( dont think i will be wasting any time sleeping though... unless its the "non-voluntary" kind after a boom boom

Yeah thats the one. Just looked up on here........... Patong Map, Phuket, Hotel, Bars
Well must see's?
I suppose it differs on what you are into! Im not really one for beaches, but there are enough beaches across the island to satisfy any type of beach you like (Well except cold!) I understand. There are a number of Temples and statues of Buddha around Phuket, which most tut-tut drivers will offer to show you. But I would rather ask a local tg personally.
Other things include the usual go-karts, bungy jumps, elephant treking, paintball, shooting range's and of course alot of very nice Golf courses! (THEre is a Round for BM on every Thursday. Just got to MTB the night before and introduce yourself to Nicke. He will give you more details. THought I add this so Dodger would not have too.!!)
Im sure if you search for whatever you are looking for on this site, you will probably find info on it. Or when you are there, just pop in to MTB and introduce yourself as a BM. You will get any info you want very quickly if still needed.
Oh, its my own opnion, but avoid the snake show at all costs! AWFUL and stinks of animal cruelty!
The coconut village is a nice hotel. You tend to get some very attractive young European girls there, with there families. Spend some time at the pool!

what i meant for "must sees" was the naughtier side of phuket.. am absolutely NOT interested in the temples scene... more of a night scene, TG, soapies, TG, bar, TG.... get the pic? 55555
guess i will be going to christins on the day of arrival to "loosen" up after a 1 hr flight! 5555

I had a feeling thats what you meant, but I wanted to appear Hi-Brow for once in my life!
Ok.................
Well if you arrive during the day/early evening than Christans is the place to start I suppose (Don't like the idea my self, but each to their own!). At Night the place to start is Bangla road. There are numerous bars and go-go's along the whole road and off it on seperate soi's. One of the Bm's fav places at the moment is Dragon a go-go (Order a long island Ice-tea! To feel like a real bm!) and Suzy-Wongs. Just do searches to find more info on these. As I said before, MTB in Soi Eric is a place to pop-in and get more info, as well as get drunk.
No-where really gets going to at least 9, if not 10 along Bangla. So just go for a walk around and see what takes your fancy. There a number of bars and soi's around the rest of patong with other bars etc in. If you look at the maps available on here, something might take your eye!
This is just a starter. There are places that I keep meaning to go to, but never end up going!
There are a number of new places which have opened recently, that seem of interest to me anyway, but as I haven't been I can't reccomend.
When are you going in Jan? Im there the whole of January (Unless I do get around to going to Cambodia), so I will prob see you about. But may not remember you!!!!!

The beer bottles are the normal size bottles for 100baht. Not the stubbies that you get or the large ones. Would tell the measurement, but having a thicko moment!
But it is possible to get cheaper around if you drink during happy hours, or draft or some of the less popular or near the beach/bangla rd.
