When I was in Phuket I always stayed with a girl that I met in Samui.She invited me to visit her in Patong.I stayed there regulary at my visits, when I came I just put some money in a drawer of her cupboard.We seperated for other reasons than "BG"-reasons.Just found out that we didn´t match together.
Her room was at Nanai road in an appartement complex.Even a farang lived there.Some ladies shared rooms together, some were living together with their Thai husbands and regular workers were living there, too. Her appartement was really nice and clean.After the entrance there was the living room with a sofa,TV and DVD-player.She had sideboards,a locker and a coffeetable as furniture, even a carpet there.Then there was a second room, the bedroom with a king size bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table.It´s not been high-class and also a bit old, but I´ve seen a lot worse in Asia.Down the lea there was the tiled bathroom with shower,basin and "farang" (not French) toilet.Next to the bath there was the Kitchen with a fridge and the cooking burner.All in all very nice for 3700 Baht/month including electricity. My wife stayed in a small room with toilet and basin for 2800 Baht/month with electricity.She just moved in there when I met her.Didnt stay long there by the way either

HI all,
Am new here and just joined the forum. Cool thread. I have just returned from a month in Thailand, boy what a fab time. Been there before, but this trip was a rollercoaster of a fun time. Believe me, being back in the cold, damp and windy winter conditions of the UK is not where I wish to be. I met up with a really cute young lady when I was in Patong, had to go north for a week for a friends wedding in Chiang Mai but when I got back to Patong, I caught up with my lady once more and spent the remaining ten days with her. Like many of you have said, she too lives in a single roomed complex of Nanai road with two other girls from her bar. They pay 3000 baht a month between them and again it is very clean and tidy, considering. Cooking facilities is outside, but adequate for their needs. All 3 of them work at the same bar but only my young lady effectively is a BG, the other two being the cashier and the accountant for the bar. Mine earnt a daily wage of 300 baht with added commissions from LDs and obviously whatever she earns from customers, which I would hazard would be quite a lot, as she is a very beautiful and fun oving girl. I know over the two to three weeks that I was with her, she was very well looked after and from what she told me during the high season, she can earn around 25,000 a month. Must admit, although the sexual side of life is a little daunting I'm sure, for them, the closeness and friendship between these girls is second to none and they all look after one another, just wish I was still there. Planning to get back around April or May and maybe start looking for a bar to buy myself.

Yes a really good thread guys, we don`t realise sometimes how lucky we are in The West. I was averaging 7500 per day from atm without hotel costs and the average wage is around 5000 per month
 The guys and gals on those building sites really have it rough. I used to enjoy going to tg`s loom and chillin a while. They were always happy you went with them to see. Sometimes wondered though if they`re playing the sympathy card tho

Marc26, yeah, her basic daily wage was (is) 300 baht per day. obviously if she brings any custom to the bar and has drinks bought for her, then she will earn a little from that too. By my reckoning if she only worked on her salary, with no extras, tips or male company, she would be earning 1500 pounds a year???? It may sound like a lot for a BG in Patong but like the owner told me, he only employs 3 full time BG's all the rest are freelance, and as he also said, the lady I spent my time with was also one of his top customer attracters, as she is very very beautiful - not that that sounds good from my part, I guess. Is crazy really, and yeah Staffshot, she also took me back to her loom on a couple of occasions, and I felt really humbled, but as you say, maybe it's all part of the thais secret weapon arsenal of getting you to feel sympathy for them? I am still in shock at the sheer beauty of some of these girls, and trying to get my head around what they do for a living - and on a daily basis - I know it is no different from a prostitute in Amsterdam or London, New York - anywhere really, but in a sense they are a lot more than that because these girls actually spend time with you, in some instances days or even weeks and no sooner have you waved goodbye as your getting into the taxi, to take you to the airport and you know they will be heading home to change and get back to their bar for work that night....... I know it's their life and their jobs but the sheer mental concept of being able to switch straight off from one person and start all over again within hours is beyond me. Still, they have my vote, all the ones I have met were all very nice, polite and friendly girls - and I am not meaning I went with them all....

Must admit,
I found it a litle over the top when I was told, but the owner himself confirmed it. Mind you if one looks at the manner in which, like he himself told me, the bar fine covers her daily wage and leaves him a couple of hundred baht per night in profit, and especially if she is as sought after as it very much appeared she was - I guess the owner can feel a little bit generous with her as if she is with someone all month - even without her working, the owner has made around a hundred quid sheer profit for himself, after her basic wage?

And above all give us guys a good time for a reasonable (read: cheap) price.

Thats not taking into account the kind of relative money though is it ??
Lets say base salary here (police / factory work) could be 4 - 6k and a gogo girl can ask as much as 2k in a night.. Then a Policeman / basic worker in Europe before tax money.. 2k Euro per month ?? Maybe even closer to 3k before taxes. So now go get an escort or pay a girl 500 Euro for a nights companionship.. With the idea you might do that daily for extended periods of weeks.. See how much attention they give you and how close they stick to you.. Its more simply relative wealth and how much they are getting IMO...

Good point, well presented - yeah, when you look at it that way, it does sort of explain a few things. I must admit though, I do prefer to have a young lady for the 'Long Time' opposed to simply one night - it always makes me feel very sleezy when you have to pay them in the morning and ask them to leave - even though I know they are more than used to it and probably quite cool about it. I prefer to check a few places out over a couple of days and not rush into finding a girl until I have met her a couple of times and chatted a bit, then if she is still free after a couple of nights, and I like her, I'll ask her if she would like to hang out with us while I'm over - maybe it's just me but I feel better about doing it that way and it doesn't feel as if it's a simple case of wham bam thank you mam - but no if this was happening back home, I don't think I would be paying the sort of fees you noted, even for short time.
