I still say why go to and Irish/english pub in Thailand????????????????????
No way in the world would I ever go to one. The drinks and food are very expensive and its not the REAL THAI nightlife. Why travel half way around the world to go to an english/irish pub??????????  It make no sense to me..........just stay in england

Something Normal...
Even though I am not an Englishman nor an Irishman (Aussie by the way) I like to go to these sorts of pubs when I am away sometimes because it lets me get back to reality (Or as close as I can get after being away so long).
I have worked as an expat for the last 8 years and sometimes its nice to take a complete break from your foriegn surrounds and chill out... I got to admit of my last trip I only went to one Irish Pub in Patong because I was aching for bangers and mash - Unfortunately the one I found (Right in the middle of Soi Bangla - Forget name) had some really funky spiced sauages and I decided to suffer the cold beer instead until the Soi Eric opened...
