I'm putting together an FAQ section and one of the things I am missing is good, up to date, info on the clubs around Patong.

If anyone would care to review Dragon, Tiger or Taipan for me I would appreciate it.

Oh, and before anyone says it, I did try a search!

i will give Dragon a review as a perspective from a guy with a gf:

after enjoying a nice dinner, my gf really enjoys heading over to Dragon and taking in some of the shows
it is not too crowded early, get comfortable seats and the Long Island Ice Teas are quite nice
so its a pretty cool place to go if your locked-down~~

I enjoyed Dragon myself. I thought it was fairly classy as go-gos go, can't remember how much beer was or any other important numbers. The show was good though, the soapy thing, and there was some super-hot girls when I was there.

As no-one else has replied much Steve - once the New Year gigs out of the way I don't mind doinga bit of a tour around the clubs - think Seduction has been well covered and someone else can do Tai Pain but the others I'll try to get written up by the end of Jan when prices settle back to normal.

* big selection of girls
* wear thongs
* i think service is getting better all the time
* ST room in the back
* sexy naked show is getting a little stale
* couple friendly
* BF 600 baht
* lady drink 150
* have a few japanese looking girls

Rock Hard
* no thongs
* some hotties. some make the noddle stand women look hot by comparison.
* friendly girls.
* had (still have?) a 10% discount card for regulars/members
* no sexy shows
* couple safe, but you don't see it as much as Dragon
* Bar fine 600??
* have a few japanese looking girls.

Tiger
* same for 3 years now
* Lots of girls but too dark to for a proper shopping trip
* Lot of lady bar girls drift in after 2am
* 300 baht???? cover. 2 drinks of beer or no-name booze.
* Euro Dance
* front entrance area meat market
* better in a big group than crusing solo.
* mainly under 35 years crowd (guys)

Taipan
* mainly over 35 years crowd (guys)
* girls tend to be older but sometimes drag fresh youngins along
* kinda dingy
* easy to see and walk around for shopping.
* still free entry?
* not a great place for couples

Seduction
* 250 cover for 2 drinks (beer & no-name)
* has a VIP card for free entry to club and VIP room.
* should have a VIP area on first floor near the back as well.
* perhaps the most upscale of all clubs
* great service at bars. sucks when at tables or dance floor
* walls lined with comfy seats and tables.
* 2 levels.
* way too many farang women. More TG needed
* couple safe.
* thai dj much better than farang. music is more commecial and a bit out of date.
* phuket town type girls and higher-end FLs are starting to warm to it.

Banana
* now 300 to get in. 2 drinks. includes red bull :-)
* too many guys, not enough girls
* too many farang women
* not as many high end FL as before
* couple safe
* lots of asian tourist girls
* not as many phuket town or hotel staff girls as before
* good music, but more commercial.
* can be packed on both levels.
* starts early 11:30pm and finishes around 1:30am (good time for crusing).
* closes at 2am
* has parking on the side for 20 baht/hour

Could type more on La Baia, Baya, D-Club, and the rest if it helps.

Could also give info on Phuket town and south-phuket joints as well.

Up north you are limited to red room, watermark, silk, twin palms, and a few other noteables.
