The minister noted that the new Whale program, developed in Thailand, is an effort to block websites with impolite words or obscene pictures. This new program allows young citizens to surf internet secure in the knowledge they would not inadvertently stumble across any naughty words. However, he added that this serious problem is still difficult to stop through the great number of obscene foreign websites and new website names that are cropping up. He also asks for cooperation from internet surfers to immediately inform the ministry about inappropriate websites. We have checked the Chiangmai Mail website and are removing any words ending in the letter x and deleting all words that have only four letters.
