Please tell me you weren't sitting oposite at the 50 baht beer place
I think the sound wars is just starting. Bangla Thai boxing has had thier "Tonight...Tonight" crap blasting for a while. Margarita cranks up the volumn. Juncelon sets up there own anti-thai boxing music. The Rio/Rock Hard fights back with two new speakers. Rolling down to seduction now. Just warming up.
Maybe one day they will have to treat Bangla like one of the sois or like they do with Siam Square up in BKK. Have one sound system for the full street with consistent music.

Noise
If it were up to me I'd ban all those trucks driving around blasting nonsense about Thai boxing. It's the purest form of noise pollution. As far as the bars go, you'd think they could tone it down a bit. I like good music as much as anyone, but it doesn't have to be so loud.

just enjoying a cold beer and watching football. until i had to hear that f'n seduction music. if i really want to hear seduction i will go inside.
all i can say its going to start a war on who plays the loudest music. reminds me when i was in samui a few years back. i think the green mango soi. 42 bars and discos playing 42 differnet songs at maximum volume.

I normally sit for a couple of beers in that pool place next to Rock Hard and on the same soi as Seduction as I know a couple of the girls there from when they worked in Rio. But I never hear any loud music! Well none that I can remember anyway.
Ok, im deaf in one ear, but I should be able to hear it! Maybe its just that it annoys you, so you hear it more!

You would have to say that Bangla is a cacophony. Hasn't it always been like that? That's why I like the Soi Eric (Mai Thai) one disc jocky for all the bars and for the most part you can talk to people. The volume isn't crushing.

In times past every bar played their own music, and it was terrible at times - now all the main soi's have a common DJ for all the bars in the soi.
Not noticed the Seduction speakers (yet) - one for T-Train to comment on perhaps.

Theres a speaker system on the hill down into Kamalalala village from Castle Denver...............Bloody "Allah Akbar" came bleating out at Mega-decibels as I was gently pootling along, enjoying the potholes and speed-bumbs on my ASV.......Almost knocked me off balance!!!! Nearly as bad as being 'Frogged'......Kamikaze amphibians that throw themselves at me from trees..............Like the women in bars!
*(Thought it best to get that one in before Mav did!)

Same same me. I also liked this Soi the best. The music thing was one of the reasons, next to the great tim I had at the MTB.

I just want to sit in U2 Bar one day and have all the DJ's in the various Soi's put on 'Staying Alive' by the Bee Gees on full blast on the hour, every hour and see what happens.................Two Three Four.....
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm.
I've been kicked around since I was born.
And now it's all right, it's O.K.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand.......Two three four..........
Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive..........
That or some ABBA!

555555555 Thanks Faulty me old **** sparra!
I bet all the blokes would break into the 'John Travolta' walk down the Bangla if they played it.
Unfortunately, I haven't enough hair, gold, clothes or waistline to actually look like John Travolta but I can walk the walk!
