I agree.
The guvernor of Phuket once said he will never let the Shark open again, I guess this only applies as long the old owner owns the place. So why don't he sell (or use bulvan) to make it possible to open again?
I heard rumours that there are 4 years left on the lease.
However, when I went to the Shark for the first time, February 1999 it was a dead place. At that time, The Safari Pub & Disco was crowded every night with people from both Patong and Karon. (The ladies from Karon went to Safari around 01 when the bars closed!) When I come back to live in Thailand September the same year it was a big difference, Safari was empy and The Shark was crowded and had become a big success. The rest is history
I liked the gogo girls at the second floor too, I had never been to a disco with scantily clad girls dancing, this was amazing for me.
