1st Timer Advice

hey, boys.

sounds like many of you are pros at this. could you boys share some of the knowledge for a first timer.

I plan to go to Thailand for my first time this sept. give me some advice:

Phuket or bangkok? for 10 days how much should i budget if i get a girl every night? hotels? tour guides necessary or a rip off? travelers checks? where to cash them?
