Soi Sea Pearl v2.0

Drove by earlier in the week.

Noticed the construction is nearly done. Still has a courtyard set-up. All the ratty little shacks that were bars are now multi-story concrete buildings with bars on the ground level. There are a few open on the inside. Only one on the street.

Big sign on the street saying something about having space for "entertainment places".

Only been to Sea Pearl a few times in the past. I liked that it was off Bangla. Bit more relaxed.

Cool Fun Bar area

It was covered in the last Asia Bugle Prowler.Apparently the bars are ready and some are open.Sea Pearl used to be a great place to hang out rather than go to Bangla all the time.

Soi Sawatdirak, not spelt correctly, it runs parrallel to soi bangla, if you walked to the beach along bangla, turned right at the end, it would be the first big soi you came to.

I was at a party at the Moon Bar in Sea Pearl 2 weeks ago for Moon's birthday, there was only one other bar open at the time and very quite. It is nice to get off of Bangla once in a while, just not sure how much traffic it will draw in.

I used to go there a fair bit.. One in that a mate managed a bar down there, 2 as it was another diversion from Bangla and 3 it was a good afternoon spot.

Sea Pearl

I've had a few drinks there on my visits. I stay in that part of Patong when in LOS and find it a nice option. I hope that the new version gets well patronised as it is good to have other spots to relax in or enjoy.

How far is the first bars back from the road? As if its still the same distance as when i was there, I don't think I could be assed to walk the marathon to the bar!

In Jan/Feb there was 3 or 4 bars open there and a restaraunt. Not many bg's working. But I told them I was from Lechinstein (SPelling??), so none of them talked to me becuase of that I think??!??

Hope it works as it will give a 'route' down to saxaphone and Rock city, instead of just a road to no-where!
