has the closing times changed.

Last time I was there in 2003 (I think) the closing times were moved up to 1, and then to 12. Then I heard that a lot of the farang venues were being closely watched and censored. The Shark Disco in Patong had been closed for months when I was there last because of a poster in the men's room showing bare breasts. In Pattaya the last time I was there the place dried up at a little after 1.

Because of all the clean up the place activities of the prime minister's group I moved operations to the Philippines. But I am thinking of a Thailand trip again because I miss the diving off phuket; great coral reefs like no where I've been.

Is the party atmosphere back to where you can drink till dawn, or at least well into the night?

not everywhere, but there is always somewhere to drink til dawn
if you hook up with a girl, she will know the places
if you want to fly solo, stop by MTB and have a chat with soem of the expats on this board, they will give you ideas where to go

From the bad old days its back to 3 ish.. Maybe 4ish in some sois and then theres the real late night venues for drinks till dawn.
