is it busy in july/august ?

Patong is great in July and August.
Not so many tourists but the same amount of BG's...

I have been to Hkt several times in June, but now due to work, I've been going every July and August for the last 3 years. I think June is a better month though as it tends to rain a bit less than July and August. Nevertheless, any of these months are great as there are less tourists and the hotel prices are cheaper. I love staying in half empty hotels.

With that being said, you do still have to weave your way through the crap load of tourists that walk along beach road. The Bangla sois are begging for business though. Very few customers and still plenty of women. With the lack of customers on these sois, I feel like a piece of meat hanging on a hook as I make my rounds. Can't complain.

Just taking a guess, but I would imagine the GFE ratio is higher during these months.

I'll be in Hkt in mid July. Bkk for starters though...
