Why is it only Night Life
Hi all,
I am finding how come there is only night life available?
How about some actions during the day??
Well, why I've asked. Am bring my friends who patronizes Hatyai and they heard much about Phuket that I was asked the question what to do during the day.
Our plans are to fly into Phuket sometime 10 in the morning and depart before 4 in the afternoon to Bangkok for more actions. It is a shame that I cannot be their proper guide as I usually head for the hotel and off to the beaches or islands before deciding what to do at night.
So, is Patong a good choice for day actions? Or shall I bring them to Phuket town..probably for some nice "fish tank" what they called spa or massage??
Really appreciate some recommendations guys.

Before others say it! Try searching! There is more than enough infomation to satisfy your needs on this site, who just have to be bothered to look for it!
And stop shouting in bold! Its doing my nut, trying to read one post!
Welcome too!

It takes 35-45 minutes to get to Patong from the airport and they need to be back at the airport 2 hours before their flight to Bangkok and if they are coming in from Singapore they need to get their bags and go through Customs. Not going to be much time in Phuket at all.

Up until this paragraph, i was going to add a few comments, but the problem you have is by the time you get to Patong, you will be in a taxi on the way back to Phuket Airport. If i were you i would
1. Hang out at the airport, have a beer or whatever and wait for your flight to Bangkok.
2. Try and change your plans and spend a few days in Phuket.
3. Go straight to Bangkok, if that is viable. Lets face it in Bangkok you have no shortage of daytime action anyway.

Plane arrives at 10.. Lets say customs cleared and bags collected and out at 10:30.. Then 45 min taxi.. Patong arrival at 11:15.
Flight leaves 'before' 4.. So with a 1 hour min check in and 1 hour for taxi (with a little spare) you need to be out of town by before 2 !!
Forget it.. Go to Nai Yang beach area !!

With a lot of travel and hassle, I suppose as Lil sayes you would have just over 2 hours in Patong, reckon if you are intent on the travelling, go straight to Cristins on Rathuthid Road, 2 hours soapy and straight back to the airport.
SWilliam, a good gym in town with Pole dancers? if its a serious question then go to Tai Life Gym in Soi Sunset, farang price 200bht per day, got fair selection of equiptment, sauna, massage and swimming pool.

In my younger, more foolish days, I would go to the gym whilst on holiday, and I do remember a gym near Soi Paradise.
But being in a room full of gay Thai guys (nearly all of them pumping more iron than I could) and being propositioned by all of them, made me give it up and go drinking instead!!!!

Ok the pole dancers was a joke. I asked around and there is a patong gym nearby where I am at that opens at 6 AM I believe.
Will do my best to get up early and hit the weights.

Well there is the occasional seista/nap in the afternoon. Am able to catch up on some sleep then. And yeah i am on holiday. There are just some strange customs and laws though. I do however like the one that your first drink at Dragon Go-Go has to be a long island iced tea. Hell we did like 3 of them in the fist 10 minutes the other night.

If it's the gym I'm thinking of people may like to know that they don't switch on the A/C till 3pm as far as I remember.

Heh SW how come you didn't make it for the golf thursday? Inthemode came and won as usual, so teamed with old bandito you could have made a very good assault for the US of A against the unbeaten MTB World Champs.

You were spot on there. Didn't get up till 8 today. Figured that my hip flexor workout was enough excercise for the day, that and I was also a personal trainer for a lucky young woman early this morning.
