First time posting here. I'm planning my first trip back to Thailand around August 17-Sept 7. First night in Bangkok, then 7 days Phuket. After Phuket on to Pattaya for 12 days and my last night in Bangkok. This will be my first ever time in Phuket. My experience in Thailand; 7 trips To Pattaya with stops in Veintaine, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Last trip in August 1997. Been doing the Philippine trips for the last few years with 8 trips there. Much cheaper. Have few questions but, I will post them seperatly later. I currently live in Japan and have a Filipina GF. Before her I had a stunning Thai girl from Sukhothai, her name was Noi. I've been with my filipina for about a year and let me tell ya, time to go back to what i no best.
If anyone will be there the same time as me lets hook up. Be nice to have a friend to hang with. Glad I found this forum.

I'm also planning to be in phuket mid August through the end of the month.
It will only be my second trip, but I was just there in April and will be traveling

I will be coming from Misawa, Japan. I'm an American but, have lived in Asia most of my adult life (11 years). There are a few Thai girls working in the Japanese bars here but the bars are expensive. Sh*t! It can cost you $50 an hour just to sit and talk with these girls. The best way to pick one up is to visit for one hour, pick the girl you like and try to get her number or give her yours. Then call her next day and make a date for the daytime. After a couple dates I can usually get them to my house. They work in the bars till about 2am and they have to sneak out of their apartment to go with you. Nothing is guaranteed. I have been lucky over the last 3 years and only had 2 I couldn't get in the bed. One was Thai and one was Indonesian. I have only been able to shag 5 Filipinas, one Thai, and one Indonesian with this system in 2 and half years. I don't mess with the Japanese too much but I did get one last year and she turned out to be a stalker. If in Okinawa you can get a Filipina BG for 80 dollars U.S., ST only. Well that’s why I do the P.I. trips and know am returning to Thailand.

I like the Southeast Asians the best. Had a couple of Japanese girls in the sack but, nothing special except, the BJ. All Japanese girls seem to master the BJ skills at a higher level than other Asians. It is expected of them or so it seems. As for the bar prices;

These are the essential things I consider when budgeting for a trip to my two favorite places in the world. Consider this; 4 LD, 1 ST, 8 DRINKS, HOTEL and 1LT per day.
Total P.I. = $78.00
Total LOS = $118.00
Difference = $40.00 per day
As you can see it can be a big difference when spending 3 weeks on holiday. However, I think Thailand offers more to do and the good places are near the beach. Thailand has more BGs than the PI. Pattaya alone has well over 5,000 BG on any given night. The best Angeles City can do is probably 1500 on any given night. That’s closer to Patpong but, Angles is the largest bar area in the P.I. Bangkok probably has more BGs than Manila on any night. On big thing for me. Everybody speaks good English in the P.I. Conversation is much easier there. I love them both and will continue to go to both. I am not rich and a 40 dollar difference isn’t that big of a deal when you consider your having the time of your life. A trip to Hawaii would cost triple that per day and you not guaranteed a friend to follow you back to the room for some extra fun.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out where you are getting your prices from in regards to philippines vs Thailand. U are essentially talking P500 for a short time, which the only place that springs to mind at those rates is a freelancer.

Angeles City barfines are P1000 ($18) and typically P500 ($9) tip, unless you are an asshole and don't tip (which some "old timers" feel they are too high and mighty and don't tip). Angeles is also pretty much the cheapest place to go to. I'm living here, so if I am missing something PLEASE inform me.

BTW, just to give you guys another comparison of what most consider to be the "best of the philippines" (makati) where I am from, here you go. These are accurate as of last night

Barfine: $27.27 (happy hour in some places) but typically $34.50-$54.50
Tip: $36.36 (short-time) to $54.50 (long-time)
Ladies Drink: $2.72 (happy hour) $5.45 (non-happy hour)
San Mig beer: $1.18 (happy hour) - $2.27 (non-happy hour)

Sorry, not trying to slam you dex, but I really am curious where you are getting these prices that I seem to be missing out on.

Last year when I was in Angeles City those were the prices I paid. I have never paid over $25.00 for a bar fine any where in the Philippines except Manila, $40.00. Maybe some places in Manila that caters to higher cliental have those prices above $40.00. I don’t party too much in Manila but, I usually pick up a girl my first and last night there. My time is spent mostly in Angeles City. Most bars in Angeles are 40% to 50% cheaper than Makati in Metro Manila. I checked my prices again and I am 100% sure. If you are paying more than 1200P for a bar fine in Angeles City you are getting ripped off. No tip necessary but, breakfast and taxi fare is all I usually pay and the girls are always happy. Begging for the next night out. I heard drink prices may have gone up with the recent value drop of the peso. Around 10 pesos more for a drink. That is still in the ball park of what I posted. Makati maybe but, Angeles never those prices.
