Well there is a bar called "Swedish Bar" in Soi Eric for a start. At least I think its in Soi Eric
Did you mean Swedish owned ?, If so, Mai Thai is a start, with Nicke being the owner.

Well not only swedish owned, I was more thinking of if there is a bar where there are a higher amount of swedish people
Ah, I was thinking about that, if Mai Thai was swedish owned, when I saw a post about Nicke wanting some Turkish pepper candy

To be honest, Phuket is the type of place where every nationality drinks together. Many Scandinavians use Mai Thai, but I'm sure other bars can be equally popular. I think quite a few Swedes eat at Karlssons on the Beach Rd.

Yeah, that is one of the charms of traveling to meet people from other countries, but itīs still nice to hear your own language every once in a while

Shouldn't be too much of a problem, I've seen many places with swedish flags when walking around in Patong. That doesn't mean they're all swedish owend but has to mean something i guess. I think there's one place on rat u tit road between Christin's massage and the soi with all the massage parlors.

last november when I was in patong for the first time, a girl bartender got a bit nervous when she heard we were from Finland, because she didnīt have Finlandia. But it was all okey when we replied that we didnīt care about the brand
The first thing you learn when starting to drink as a teenager is that the brand doesnīt matter, the main thing is that it has alcohol

Maybe so, but as you get older, then surely you develop a certain preference whether it is brand or quality.

Yeah, of course, but some people take it to far with "I will only drink that brand of vodka, etc..."

I think there are 10+ Swedish bars on Bangla road. At least it looks like it when walking throu the sois. Since I have always travelled with people from the UK/NI I too like to have a few words with someone that speaks my language. Just feels good.

I have a finnish mate who comes out here a couple of times a year (Thank fcuk he's gone to Pattaya this trip and won't be back till christmas) and I have had too many nights out on the pints of vodka hasip/hasip with him, you Finns can certainly knock back the vodkas like they're gong off the market.

Yeah, we have lotīs of alcohol related stuff happening here, accidents, illnes and deaths... But hard to change things that are a part of the culture :/
But I donīt think it has to do with running out of vodka, because if our vodka would run out, we can always buy more from Russia or Estonia

Hehe, on my first trip I had a BG that asked me if I never get enough alcohol, aparently they had served me quite much.
But itīs half the price in a thai bar compared to back home, doesnīt that mean you have to drink twice as much??

Datsun,
Last time I was in Patong I always stopped by a bar called Knigdom Bar in the soi after soi eric (croc maybe??). Had a drink with the two owners Henrik and Matt and was having a ball every night until I had to leave. It is located about half way down on the right hand side.
Hope you enjoy your trip.
