late night tuk tuk from karon

I ve arranged to meet a friend who is staying in Karon with his missus ( she dont trust him in Patong with me for some reason) and plan on having a ale or 2 and Im sure it will be a late one. I dont suppose there would be a problem finding a tuk tuk back to Patong at shuttin time or would there. Just a bit to far for me to jog back..thanks

last time I was in karon (may) it was like a ghost town. I was only there for one night thankfully. I didnt see too many tuk tuks driving around so you may have to organise a return pickup maybe?? Anyway good luck with it and enjoy your trip.......

The tuk tuk drivers are pricks... beware.

Don't wanna turn this into a Tuk Tuk Driver thread Alfie, but what are they like in Bkk?

Yes bunch of no goods all of them I think. I would rather take a motobiketaxi to Karon than go with a tuk tuk.

Take a taxi - they are airconned and cheaper than tuk tuk's.

The same thing happened to me. Didn't want to take a Tuk Tuk so went for a walk looking for a motorbike. Didn't find one so asked the taxi how much? 200? Let's go. Air conditioned comfort for less than the Tuk Tuk.

Not the safest/wisest thing to do, but you do deserve a medal for it

Glad to hear that you made it without any problems.Yes 400thb is ok for a taxi and still better than sitting in a Tuk Tuk...
Hope that you had a good night in Karon

Had a friend in Samui that owned a bar. He came out of his bar @ 4 a.m. and had locked his car keys inside. He said "Boy was I lucky" there were no taxis or tuk tuks to be seen. A ladyboy came along looking for a little business. I got a ride home and a bj for only 200 baht.

I was thinking the same thing ... he probably saved 300 baht taking the BJ.
In may case I would have paid the extra just for the ride.
