IMHO, the whole beauty of Asian culture is that it did not loose (still) the sexuality in man/woman relationship. There is nothing wrong in man pampering his woman and there is nothing wrong in woman taking good care of him. This does not affect the whole notion of independence and roles in the family - girl can be independent all right, pampering her man does not make her any more dependent on him. Likewise, man pleasing his woman does not mean he does not want to be pampered or loved. I for one am tired of corrupted, twisted and untrustworthy relationships that rule western world today.
Of course, many bar girls would not give you the spiritual and bonding relationship that is common for Asian culture, but then one needs to understand that the whole nature of their work assumes they dont get attached to men on the emotional level. This is a barrier built to protect themselves, otherwise it is too easy to meet 20 good men in a single year, fall in love and live through 20 heartbreaking separations - this is far too high price to pay to keep this kind of attachments happening all the time.
Consequently, it is only natural that once one meets a girl he likes and tries to form the emotional bond (or in other words make her fall in love with him) one has a Herculean job to do to overcome all defensive (and often negative) thinking that has developed over years being in business. Personally, I am not sure I would even try...
Apology for the long post, my point is rather simple - treat BG with respect and tenderness they deserve, give and receive fun, be generous yet not foolish. If you get same back then keep her, if not - dump her. It is all about mutual respect, self esteem and getting most from your life. If you come across someone you think you wanna marry then think many times - are you gonna spend all your life with her or not? If even once you think you would not then keep her as a girlfriend rather than marry her. Asia has a lot to offer to us, farangs...

I don’t know if Newbies should or can just jump into Threads – But I have been reading this one and would like to add something (You can all flame me later)
The above Thread by AnthonyLon – Really hit home to me about the culture of Asia and some of the bar scene in Thailand. (Great Thread)
I paid my first visit to Thailand back in July and just fell in love with the place. I was very worried about going as I am disabled and have a big old tumour in the left leg and have to use crutches to walk everywhere and plus I am only 5 ft tall (Normal height for a Thai) I was told all the women would love me no matter what and I looked like or what was wrong with me.. But as I live in sunny old England and have been turned down by just about every single women (Though nothing to do with my leg they always say) But one girl was brave enough to tell me the truth, she said women want their men to be taller than they are, they want them to be able to look after them, carry them when they need to and not have always care for them. They want it all – Looks, height, good job not be disabled and also to have a big C**K (No worries there for me)
I get to my point – Women in Thailand also want a lot, Good man, Good Job, Good Money and also Good heart. And that last one really means something in Thailand. It does not matter about your looks, or age or what clothes you wear or who you hang out with. And it was so nice to be welcomed in such a way by beautiful women and I just had the best time of my life.
What I am trying to say is, Women in England are nice to me they really are, but they wont give me the time of day when I want to take things to another level. Yet the women I went with in Thailand Yes I paid for them, but they never once were embarrassed to walk down to street with me or introduce me to their friends and be seen out with me. But some girls here in England still say they don’t really want to be seen walking with him, just in case someone they think is cool will see them.
And when I finally got naked with one Western women and she saw my disabled body, she just asked me to leave there and then – Talk about loosing face and embarrassed.
But when I got naked in front of the Thai ladies (I was SH**ING myself) she did not even blink and eye and never even talked about it, other than she was going to take good care of me until the morning.. Which she did.
So yes the BG do need to be treated respect and tenderness and most of them do deep down really care in some way or another (Well I hope so) So if they can make a young disabled man feel a little bit better about him self them they are truly wonderful people.
Sorry it I went off on one and did not really add anything new to this tread, but I thought I might be a nice idea to let people know about my story. Could see on where else to add this.

You extend the OP to higher levels. Which surely shows the fundamental differences to the West. Certainly sooner or later one will jump into this thread complaining about "generalizing" West against East again. To me it's 's not difficult to see. Yes, there are the odd exceptions, but as I gather, the famous needle in the hay.
Having the looks & being physically perfect is completely overrated in most developed countries.
As for money, that seems to be important on either site. Maybe worldwide, but I haven't travelled all parts, so I can't make this statement for sure.
Hopefully we have the pleasure to meet up in future, although I'm not the tallest, I can put a beer on your head and you can slap me with your crutches in return, can only be fun 55555
Very good and brave post !

Thank you Ototto! I just looked up your post in the idle chit chat section and indeed it is an interesting topic. I must say - I am not big fun of cults, quite the opposite - I am against any type of cult in any form . So far as we stay away from the cults and brainwashing I am looking forward exchanging thoughts on the original subject of your post!

Thanks Anthony, don't worry I'm neither interested in any kind of cult.
The original topic however has something valueable in it, doesn'it?

The only one I'm disappointed in is Dustin Hoffman. The rest I couldn't care less.
