Its the law, but only enforced by the supermarkets. Alcohol cannot be sold between 2 and 5 in the afternoon- he was only doing his job. Just go to 7/11 family mart or any little Thaishop- they will sell, also any bar. Tis ting tong but just another crazy rule we have to live by. Its designed (in theory) to cut down on alcohol cunsumption- fat chance.

Agree that it's ting tong when it´s for 3 hours in the middle of the day. Back home the law says you cant sell alcohol before 9 in the morning and after 9 in the evening. I think that have a greater effect rather than to have a 3 hour ban in the middle of the day
