Tiger - Seduction Short Cut
Went in to tiger on saturday and sat in cheeky girls bar, and noticed the cut through from tiger to seduction there building what im told is a new bar or shop, so no cut though to seduction in this high season.
Would you be bothered to walk all the way around to get to seduction, im sure a lot will not.
I bet seduction owners didn't get told by soi owner that they will block that short cut and also build a seafood restaurant at the end of the soi before they started building seduction.
Before three ways to get to seduction from the back of soi but a seafood restaurant now there so no chance.
from tiger now thats blocked, looking like the worst location for a nightclub now, because theres nothing in that soi except thai boxing or the ladyboy show.
looks like another patong nightclub down the pan.

Just to inform you the building that is in construction right now at the back of the living room is going to be a Frozen Vodka bar..... which basically means for those who dont know, the temperature inside will be -30 deg and they sell many flavours of ice cold Vodka. They supply you with coat hat gloves etc so you dont freeze.
There is a similar concept in Singapore on Clarke Quay in a bar called Indochine, i think to gimmicky for Patong but we'll see.....

Maybe it will work depends on pricing ... but its likely to share the fate of Home Bar and other up market attempts in Patong ....
Seduction - a big pity ... not recreated Shark days ... hope this high season things improve or will be another exit.

The biggest problem for Seduction and any other bars down that soi is the LB factor. When people walk past the soi and get hassled by LB's they just walk by quickly and dont have time to see what is down the soi... Hence why the Vodka bar could be a non-starter.....maybe

Yeah i heard that too, The potential buyers of that place really need to do their homework or otherwise they will fall victim of the LB intimidation factor also...

The funny thing is the voyeur action for C&D's when it was under tiger was actually a big draw for all the bars around it.. People scared of actually interacting with the LB's would still come close and watch the antics at the surrounding bars..
But when you get them being hardcore pushy in the street it all has an opposite reaction.

talking of Home Bar. They seem to be re-launching. Pointlessly. It failed first time because you cannot have a dress code in Patong...it's ridiculous.
And now they have rules like "no visible tattoos" and non-International guests 1000 baht entry. So no taking your thai girl then.
Sorry but I will not shed a tear when this fails once again.

LOL.. What a rediculous set of rules.. I posted in the past how they refused me entry when they first opened because of sandals..
I actually think the place is great decor, even was playing good downtempo tunes when I went another time.. That upstairs room would make a great chill spot for a large group (tho the idiots came, brought one drink and then left a group of 10 thirsty people upstairs without a single server watching or even popping up once every 15 mins).. Just doesnt seem to ever work.

Not only him.. He has a silent partner..
I happened to be sat with the partner (without knowing it) and the place came up.. I had a few drinks in me and slated it hard.. Then he came out and said 'actually I own 50% of it'.. oppsy oppsy..

Obviously took no notice of what was wrong with the place then.
It appears that some of these places are doomed to failure from the onset because nobody does their homework on what the customer wants.

There's a new live music bar (a la Galaxy) opening up between C&D and Living Room 2 -- place is called Vertigo - looks like a Thai crowd type of place.

Nelsonone, you are lucky that you actually got inside the Home in Sydney, every time we went to go, you could not get in the door. Had to put up with drinking in the bar downstairs on the harbour or the Pontoon Bar at the other end of the Bay.
In your time in Sydney did you manage to visit the Establishment in the lower end of George St.
Went there for the last night of the Olympics, was a great night, place has 14 bars overall. We could not get access to all of them but was a great night anyway.

@Masterwoodsman
Don't think the bar will fly. Unless there are a lot of girls getting nippy.
@K2
The owner only mentions music with the relaunch. IMO that is only 25% of the solution. Also, amazing number of Thai venues in Patong now.
@Hobbsy
It's D.O.A. for sure.

have VIP pass for Home so I can just rock up and go to the front of the queue......not that I use it anymore....I feel like a grandad in there....it's because I knew the original management and they just send me one each year
as for Establishment.....I love the place....suits me perfectly......I have worked with the owners (The Hemmes family) on the design/fitout of their various businesses for many years....they are great to work with and always look after me like a king whenever i call in....

well, you can always get a nice thai lady to warm the popsicle up after you leave the place.
IJ and his creamsicle!5555555555555555
Just don't use it to stir your drink, and wear shorts with buttons, not a zipper!5555555555
