I found in the night I was taking about 3000THB. That was also paying the BF then paying for the ladies so about 4500 THB

I always take out 5k with me and any spare 500, 100 or 20's. Always leave any other money at home, with credit/debit cards. Usually okay unless out with Lil !!!

it all depends what you like to do, how much you drink and what not

Around 4k baht but none of thats for meals or women. I just like getting shit faced. Usually come home with a pocket stuffed with 20's and 100's though and some sort of drunken snack.

5K would probably get me through the night, but i need 8 / 9 k including day time just incase I have a St or two, massage, maybe a soapy or a trip to Lolitas if I am in BKK

I generally spend 10k [average] per day and at least 1/2 of that is between dinner and early morning. Some days that includes 2 LT so for a more typical day a little less than 5k. For some the beverage consumption would be an important factor.

I averaged 6000 baht per day mostly spent on beer and girls, so easy to spend too much as you think everything is so cheap

i just like to advise a 1st timer to budget high just so they dont have any limitations
for your 1st trip, you just dont want to worry about money
after that, you will know things a little better for next time and budget accordingly
just work your ass off until the time comes
and have fun

thanks for your advice mate , and you are right too much is better than not enough .. and knowing my drive it might be alot of ST,LT etc oh and overtime every sunday its gonna hurt

10k every two days seems to work for me though that's usually me blitzing through it on day #1 and taking it easy for day #2. One more visit to the ATM and the cycle repeats

If it is your first trip you will end up spending more in the first week than you will in week 2 & 3, as it is a bit like a kid in a sweet shop kind of thing.
If you find a bar you like to hang out in, you will want to ring the bell a few times durring your stay, so add that in to your drinks budget.

I always think this question is a bit like a pishing contest, people will try to tell you they spend a lot to let you know they can afford it, whilst others tell you how little you can get by on.

A few people have said 5k is about right to have a good night out with a happy ending, I think you can trust them.

You will find that you have a coiuple of days each week when you just want to relax around the hotel pool, then go out and have a few beers and a nice meal, then come back on your own, or you will meet a few guys and just sit round a bar drinking and talking about things, this is a good way of getting to hear about places to visit and whats going on locally.

What ever you end up spending every day, enjoy yourself!

Lars! to me a LT starts at 3/4 am, and finishs 1/2 pm how can you manage to get two LTs a day

I found myself spending way over what I had planned for first time I went out there in 2004. 2nd and even 3rd time - much the same; last time, as I was staying an extended period (well extended in as much as more than 3 weeks) I watched my spending. Having just sold a rather nice boat (don't like that word) I had a few quid to throw around - and the little lady soon worked that out!!! 555555555555555

I used to get by, with lady in tow BTW on around 3 - 5k per day.

Only times I would get miffed is when she would want to go to her friends bar - WARNING - yes her friends bar was always friendly but 4 - 5 k after only maybe 1 - 2 hours of drinking Chang and one or two JDs became a tad boring after one or two visits .....

Friends bar will not be frequented next time - there loss

I like to be back at the hotel before 2 AM and at times we will be three of us, which makes for 2 concurrent LT. The day time is usually spent getting a massage and a few ST.

It depends who I am meeting up with and what is on the agenda

Also how long I'm in Town.
If it's a two-three week trip then I like to make every night count so I'll usually head out with around 10k in anticipation of a proper night which tends to conclude around day break.
When I am there for the long haul then it is only around 5k and when it's gone I'm off home to bed and running out of money is a good way to prevent my rubber arm being twisted to stay out longer.

i find my spending can spiral out of control esp after a few drink when i say the old fck it i wont be back for a long time as long as the atms paying im taking ,

But i don drink so much so 5 k can do me ok , mabye even 3k deoends on what ur doing,

if your not drinking i think 2-3 k would be more than enough , if drinking anything can happens

i agree with some of the other guys....about 5k. always more in the bin back at hotel if needed
