october in phuket- good mongerin weather?

hey all i am going to pattaya on 5th oct for few days of cheap fun and then off to phuket for 2 weeks. i was wondering what the nightlife scene is like in start of october regarding amount of tourists and ratio of bgs to tourists in phuket. i was there last year at end of october and it was very busy around bangla. is the start of oct any quieter? takes a while to pick one through the crowds on bangla. any info appreciated. cheers, mickthehorn.

imo.....lots of the girls go home for low season.....so the choice is ok.i was in both phkt and patts last october11-23 and found both places a little quieter than normal..........

the only time i have ever experienced weather that actually put a damper on my holiday was when i stayed in Ocotber
maybe i got unlucky, but just cloudy everyday

It's funny how the weather sucks so often in October and then bang November 1, perfect for the next 4-5 months. The October storms often get the surf going which can be fun if it isn't too big. There may be a few less Bgs but there are a lot fewer tourists. I think it works out to be about the same.

Spent last October in Phuket and the weather was pretty average. Usually hot in the morning and then rain on and off from about 4pm till 10ish. Noticable drop in visitors if you've been over the peak times but i couldn't notice any difference in the amount of women.
