partying in Isaan
Hi guys
Could write a book about my last 30 days in Thailand, mainly Patong, but require eye witnesses, can anyone help? Just heard 2 days ago I fell of a stool in Mai Thai bar with a BG on my knee, no recollection of this or 2 broken ribs. Anyway just back from Khon Kaen area after going to smoke the peace pipe with my GF, who had to return to her sick papa (genuine) and leave me in Patong to take care of our business. My strategy for this of course was a major PR exercise for 2 weeks. Got a major surprise on my visit to Khon Kaen city, the nightlife I found to be quite excellent with a multitude of FL's on show and little or no farangs, with prices at non commercial level, lots of bars and discos really good. Also attended 2 parties at GF's local village to celebrate coming of rain and another for some Thai guys making monk. They were truly memorable dancing in front of a mobile disco to thai music with about 2,000 people, getting pissed up, soaked and covered in cow shit and mud, never had such a good time as this. Anyone else experienced anything like this? ps 2 you guys who know me, think ive just about managed to win GF over after many untrue and undeserved rumours (i think) about my acitivities in Patong. pps anyone who goes to mai thai bar please please do not drink black death - i need say no more nicke!!!

diddnt have camera with me, guess what I lost it!!!! Khon Kaen was really good, only gripe was closing at 2am Hotel 450 baht for room night out for 10 people 4000 baht, so thats 400 baht per head Watch for usual thai practice of whisky by the bottle and not great choice of drink thereafter. Went to 1 live thai music and 3 discos, 1 like a cross between a go go and disco All Thai orientated but ive noticed far more farang than 1 year ago!!!! Girls look really fresh Definately worth a visit!!! regards Geespot ps loook out for my mate Tommy, he will be running love bar with my GF sister permenant in 3 weeks as my GF now stays home and thinks about babies, oh f..ck!!!

Khon kaen
I havent stayed in Khon kaen but i have passed through , as i went to Udon Thani for 2 weeks , had some similar experiences though regarding thai/monk related festivals and dancing drunk at Loa concerts (morlam music) and cheap loa whisky , shame you aint got pics though , would have liked to have seen Khon kaen again ....nice city

Thank you for this info !!!! Me should go to Khon Kaen area ( Kalasin ) landing at KK - airport 12 july and should stay there for 1 week ! then go forward to Ko Samui and Patong I´m realy exited to see this isaan side and i bit of the real Thailand ....  Sounds like nightlife Khon Kaen city are great !!!!  Promise to take a lots of pics and send in here later ......

yes, I have experienced this but the girls in the karaoke seem to be quite unattractive, the attractive ones can be had but it's a pain in the ass...
damb we get spoing in patong don't we.
