Short working life.
It might be just me but, every BG I have asked the question of has only worked for 3 months.
Still almost fresh then, think Ill keep asking

The length of time (admitted by a BG) working is directly proportional to the length of time the guy asking has been in Thailand.
So for a newbie - its most likely to be "I worc 1 weeeek onleee" Your getting the 3 months version. For us long term expats (who know anyway that they start at 15 with Thai BF or Thai scene) then get something closer to reality. (Sorry about being brutally cynical).

You also get the 2 week or 2 months version where they neglect to tell you that they were here for 6 months the year before and the year before that
 Or try getting a mate to go up to her after you and asking the same question and you'll probably both be fed different answers.

I really do not know why it matters how long they have been there. If you were on holiday or out anywhere else in the world the question would never arise. So why is Thailand any different.
Most of you have been to Thailand so many times, so what difference would it make, everyone knows the score, both the girls and us. Is all part of the game. I am sure if you were to chat someone and spend some time with them you will find out the truth in the end. Personally I would rather someone who knows the ropes and is a bit more experienced, saves a lot of the initial misunderstandings that may arise, and are normally a lot more loyal to you if a relationship arises during and after the holiday

Who cares how long they have been working?
If your over there for a good time then have one. Whats the point of judging her. When I'm on the turps and out to have fun, I have no time for mental games. Call me boring or insane, but just have fun man. I've been back to Los maybe 9 times in 3 years and knew all the Bull#hit that goes around. Now Im living with my Thai girl for 2 years and things and couldn't be happier. good luck.

I can only say that in my experience, the turnover of girls is higher now compared to when I first opened the bar. Now they find a boyfriend/sponsor/marry a lot quicker than it used to be. I dont know if the reason is this forum or not. I guess I may have more first timers compared to other bars.
Anyway, I am happy for the girls when they found someone taking care of them. The last few years I had more girls than ever moving to other countries or married someone or just moved home waiting for the sponsor to be back. In my first years, having a girl for a few years was not uncommon, now the average may be 3-18 months.

That said, even 6 months seems to be a long time these days. It doesnt mean they leave the scene, they may change bar or move to another destination. But of those I know found someone 3-18 months in the scene seems common.
I dont know the facts, but my feeling is that more guys get comitted to the girls now than, lets say, 5-8 years ago. Quote:
