UB you do not have to pay the bf if the bar is closing, what trade are they losing?? what service from her are they not getting?? none, so no bf.
Car hire was bad example as you will still pay for the use of the car (girl) in your example, but the garage is not losing a car that could have attracted other customers or got them some small profit on oil sales, so no car loss fine (bf). Hope not to confusing all this metaphore stuff!!
