Patong GoGo Bars

Briefly, I've made two tours to Phuket, but have spent little time in the gogos. On my next tour, I think I may give them a try or two. Despite keeping up with this board for months, however, I've found little info on just how gogos work. Of course I know the bar fine, lady drink, etc., but would appreciate some details:

In addition to the bf, what sort of tip do gogo dances expect for lt? I know Hard Rock girls expect outrageous money (though not sure exactly how much), but what of girls at the smaller places? Will most take 1,000 in addition to the bf (somehow I doubt it...)?

Are gogo dancers more or less proned to go starfish on you than bgs or flers? Of course each one is different I'm sure, but somehow I've always imagined gg dancers, in general, to be more harderned, and less fun btw the sheets...

Can a veteren out there give any tips on what to say; how to act in gogos? Yes, yes, I know it's all about the money, but surely some subtle actions are better than others...

Do many/most gg dancers head to a particular club or bar after 2am? Perhaps gg's themselves stay open past 2am like the discos?

By the way, I'm not the least bit interested in any "shows;" that's not the point of this thread.

Hi Apollo I wouldn't call myself a gogo veteran by any means but I can answer some of your questions from my own experiences.

1/ Patpong- Only been once and never BF any girls so I can't say.

2/ Price- Normal gogo BF is around 5-600 bht plus wahtever the girl agrees
same as bar depends on the quality of the girl.

NEP BKK -Good looking girls 8-10 ST 1500 LT 3000+ but they are stunners.

RockHard PHKT- About the same for the best looking ones.
Although this can be neg.
You might be pushing it for 1000 but maybe 1500 Low
season.

3/ How to Act- Same as you usually do if you see a girl you like call her
over and buy lady drink make her laugh shell out the BF
and your away.

4/Starfishing - Every girl is different as you know I've had the odd starfish
but I doubt it makes much difference wether they work
gogo, bar or fl just the luck of the draw. If they starfish I
just pack it in and tell them to hit the street if they ask
for money I pay according to what service I received and not
one has ever complained.

5/ Afterhours - In BKK go to Angels disco under Nana hotel in Patong who
knows the usual Tiger, Taipan ,Dragon once they get out of
the bikini could be any girl.

Gogos are good for a change in Patong I recommend Playschool and Rockhard.

In NEP check out Rainbow 1 & 2 ground floor.

One of the things I don't like about agogo joints in Patong is that thers no or very little groping allowed which I tend to enjoy...

Just a few more details I left out with gogo's the girls get paid to dance so while they are dancing you can make eye contact, smile etc. but you have to wait until they finish thier rotation before you can talk to them.

Once you have been talking for a while she may have to go dance again unless you pay barfine otherwise you can wait for another cycle.

As other BM's have said when they finish work you can often pick them up at a Disco at cheaper rates but this is not guaranteed.

All in all I like gogo's and gogo girls there are good and bad just like beer bars, next time check out Playschool it's a top spot!

Seriously I haven't actually been in it. I went to the Suzy Wong go go and met a very nice BG there. Unfortunately she only seemed to want me to drink in her club and my efforts to see the fun elsewhere met with a low growling noise (Nicke and Robert my remember when I brought her to the MTB). I think she became quite annoyed when Ead sat on my lap and then she (my BG not Ead) got very drunk and passed out on the bed fully clothed. So much for Black death!!

The deal at Suzy Wong was quite simple. 500 Baht bar fine and 2000 LT. There was a slight problem when the girls were supposed to do two sessions in the afternoon and evening and the owner wanted 2 x 500 Baht. But a pleasant chat (thai style) and a bottle of Red Label sorted that out.

So Stevem. I would like to come to the Playskool. What inducements are you thinking of....

Wow, I must say, based on what I've read on this forum re most of us sticking to the "1,000 baht lt fee," that I'm a bit surprised by the tips expected by gogo girls. 1,500 lt in low season? River/others, was that in ref to Hard Rock only or all the gogos, including the smaller ones?

Actually, comments re the smaller places would also be welcomed, inc. expected tips for lt (I already know about 500 baht bf). As for seeing gogo dancers at discos after 2am, I seldom did on my first two tours. Perhaps I wasn't at the right spots?

River/others, are gogo dancers, on average, better looking than bgs and flers? I KNOW, I'll have to see for myself and cannot wait, but in the meantime I enjoy reading the opinions of others

Never believe that the rates for BG's are more expensive in low season. Every girl need to find customer and it's not as easy as in high season, so you can g with them for half price. They are ready for everything? Just say to them "if you dnt want, I go with the next one" and I'm sure they will go easy

bb, I remember seeing plenty of nice ladies on the dance floor, but never thought about moving in like that--good idea! Always thought bc they were dancing with other girls that they weren't "in the game," so to speak, and just out for a bit of fun (as opposed to a farang's bit!). Sounds like this was a false assumption...

After closing, I know most of my staff just go home, or occassionally to karaoke, as they have been on their feet dancing for 6 to 8 hours already. I often sit there and wonder how they keep it up night after night, but I dont think too hard about it.

when i used to know most of the girls at show girl international they tell me the same that just want to go home and sleep if not bar fined.
the ones i use the most are flash agogo in soi eric
playskool and show girls int(only cos i used to be good friends with original mamasan and still a couple of the girls still work there) in sea dragon.

Thats a question as old as life itself. I cannot say i have a favorite Go Go bar because my taste varies from day to day. One day i am searching for a bar Girl with a big butt. another day i might search for a petite girl. My last trip was just like that. This coming up trip will be the same also.

This is a good question. In BKK, there is no question in my mind that the quality of the girls at the Nana gogos is way above the quality of the girls in the casual bars. On my 1st two tours, it seemed like you could still find the occasional diamond in th rough, so to speak, at Cowboy or one of the Sukhumvit bars, but not last April.

In Patong, it's not so cut and dry. At the casual bars, there are, you may have noticed, a lot of BGs that you would wonder how they can make a living at all, 'cause they aren't very good looking. Or maybe it's just me, I'm pretty choosy. But there are also many very good loooking BGs, too. Also, since the BGs aren't naked when you meet them, you might find more flaws when you see them w/o clothes, particularly the stretch marks from having babies.

So I guess you could say that the average quality is higher in gogos, because fewer unattractive ones, and fewer flaws. But there are some really beautiful BGs out there, as good or better than any gogo girl. You just have to find them and fight off the other guys trying to deal them. The best lookers can get pretty choosy themselves, especially at Xmas time when the bars are bustling with horny guys with money in pocket. Also, I think gogo girls are more tuned in to the $$$. BGs want to make money, of course, but are maybe a little more tuned into having fun and/or going with a guy who appeals to them. I've known a few who won't go w/ a guy who doesn't look like he is 35 or under, and handsome. They would go with those guys for 1000 Baht, but turn down older guys and average guys at twice the money. I think a gogo girl would go for the money.

I don't look for a 10, and am sometimes intimidated if I find one. If they have what I am looking for and meet my "minimum standard", which is high, but starts to drop at about 2:00 AM after many drinks, then I don't mind a few flaws. I prefer BGs, because I feel gogo girls are too focused on money alone, and sometimes a little colder. I'll take the BGs 9 times out of 10.

Of course these are only my thoughts, and generalizations, at best. Every body's different. What do the other BMs think on this subject?

You may get a gogo girl for 1000 bht but she won't be that good looking and I usually don't fly half way around the world to shag the ugly ones.

If you only want to pay 1000bht best stick to BG"s.

Some gogo girls are better looking but there are also some nice BG's around if you take the time to find one.

Generally I use the gogo's as a bit of a change from beer bars remember variety is the spice of life.

Bg's tend to sit around in bars all night and like to go out after to disco what ever, gogo girls are dancing all night and don't mind going for a beer and a game of pool after work or at least that's the way I figure it. With the money you save on not taking them out it's about the same in the end either way you're paying no matter what.

I find that if I am BF a BG on a regular basis having an Agogo is a lot safer then takin a BG from another bar - Reason being is that the Agogo girl has to stay in the Agogo until BF'd or when she is going home - She is less likely to blow your cover...

So if I am BFing a BG in Soi Eric a lot and want a change - I will BF an Agogo from Playschools without having to get to see her. I normally stay at the C&N Hotel so I can still BF a Soi Seadragon BG after BFing a Playschool Agogo (but not the other way around). I tend to leave Tiger BG's till last as they can see my every move on the way home - But you can still do Tiger Disco if you sneak a bit - And then finally I hunt FL at Tai Pan either very late at night or last in my trip as the place is too close to my hotel...

It does make sense - Trust me...

Obviously the choice of directionaly BFing has to be modified to suit either your hotel location or your tuk tuk drop/pick-up point....

It all sounds a little bit complicated does'nt it - But I think other BM may agree with some of my strategies...
