La Baia shut-down?
Went by the Phuket Grand Tropicana Hotel yesterday. Looks closed for major renovation. Noticed La Baia also looked closed. Is that just for the renovations or is are they done with it? Seemed like they could have kept it going even though it shared washrooms with the hotel.

I've heard that the hotel has been sold. The new owner who will reopen it under the Marriott Courtyard chain, so not sure what will happen to La Baia. It looked like a nice place but never saw it busy. Difficult location though.
