VIP Asia Club closed

So what happened there? Unusual for a place to close right in the middle of high season. I suppose the rent there must be a killer as it's a prime site and despite the awesome chequerflag tight shorts and red shirts the girls wore and the buy1get1free and 30baht tequilas offers the place always struggled to get people through the door.

Doesn't bother me that it's shut....would like to know what's happened to those uniforms though

Im more suprised that its lasted this long.

Over the last 3-4 years, I have never seen more than 5 customers in there, high or low season. Never had a 'catch' to pull punters in, unlike TAi PAn and Baya Beach nextstore.

If I remember correctly about 5 years ago it was a really happening place and busy but that was before Baya Beach opened next door.

Went downhill from then.........

Send a message via ICQ to Nicke
Lol, I sent a SMS to the number listed asked how much the rent was but havent got any reply. (There is a sign outside, "for rent")

It could be remade to a great place I believe, as long the rent is OK/acceptable.

The investor idea was long time ago, I dont know if anyone is interested now.

Its a golden location in any case!!

Smile Location Location

The place has a great location but the layout is off and it is sooooo dark. Goes to show location isn't everything. With a layout and name change the place would be pumping!!

If I take it....first thing, I'm renovating the toilets!

Putting in some new "farang" style crappers, with some decent "BUM GUNS!"

Then, I'll be charging 10thb for usage. (big money maker 55555)

This place is the kiss of death for investment. It got slagged rotten in the last edition of the Asia Bugle and went bust less than a month later.

It used to be the Poco Loco and that became Chicago which was a classy place. The owners of Chicago lost everything due to dodgy lease. Then came VIP Asia with a bunch of unknown investors.Anton was running things quite well but for some unexplained reasons had to bale out and the place went to the dogs (literally).

It would take a lot of research and due dilligence before I would go near that place. How would you know that the lease you are getting is valid.

Maybe use a decent lawyer? get them to rewrite it or change/add clauses?

I reckon you have got to be some dumb mother to not make that place work ,needs only a little investment, lots of initial effort and bingo, money making machine.

Got to keep away from it becoming a late night only venue, get the day trade and all evening stuff, open it up a bit for the day, making it more accesible, less dark, give some shape internally, some corners etc, maybe a unique theme. Take that stupid big sign off it and give it a bit of external class.

There doddle, why didn't I rent it?

I'll tell you what craigy boy, if you were allowed to opena bing o hall here you'd fill it all day, at a local fayre here in Lala, they had a sort of Bingo but only winning sweets and stupid stuff, not money, and crikey the Thais were queing to be able to play.

I reckon I'd make a really good bingo caller as well, eyes down.....wallets gone, whoops!!

Why not break out everything and place only decent toilets, like 20-25 or so. At 10 Baht you will have no competition and no problem getting customers. It could be a gold (or sh*t)mine.

I'm gonna miss that big sign, actually it was the only external class that this place had ever gotten
