dont think the aussie bar shuts for a couple of days..if it does it would be the only 1...wet day and night on the street, unavoidable, some sois dont allow the drenching soi eric and such ,but you gotta get to them first .

Welcome to the forum Snowy.

I would advise anyone coming to Thailand to experience Songkran once if possible. Great fun, but wears thin after a while.

Welcome to the board!

This will be my first Songkran also. By the sounds of it, Patong will be more busy than I have seen it on my other visits(May, September). Glad I booked my flights and accommodation when I did.

Welcome to the board.

This will be my second Songkran, I enjoyed the first, so wanted to get another go at it. It might get old fast, but for now, let's have some fun.

I'll throw in my "welcome to the board". Enjoy your trip....being wet for a day or two has no appeal to me......so I guess I will always avoid visiting mid April.
